I can't weld at all - that's why I haven't bought a welder to refurb. Just thought that meme was appropriate. :welder:

Was my dad's welder so probably eBay Chinese crap. Was welding a square tube in for my brother's race car. Was just something minor didn't have anything to do with the roll cage. Looked like a confetti gun was going off lol. I've had stick welds look better that that weld. And before you ask yes voltage and wire speed was correct least best we could do with a cheap welder.

My flux machine was a cheapo campbell hausfeld. Welded real bad with big box wire, once I got some specialty wire it ran alot smoother.

Make sure your polarity is set right. Reverse polarity will really make flux core spatter.

For gasless MIG welding polarity (when using flux core wire), your MIG welding polarity settings should be set to direct current electrode negative (or DCEN).

With DCEN, the negative terminal inside your machine is hooked up to your electrode (your MIG gun) while the positive terminal is hooked up to your ground.

Holy shit, my entire department just got laid off except for me and one other guy.

Our company is being sued for not having a "blind friendly website" by a blind guy (supposedly) and I guess they didn't take it seriously but apparently it is...so the owner pulled the plug on the website. Luckily that was only about half of my job and I'm still needed for the company's other photo needs but damn....that's crazy lol. Shits about to get nuts here
