Wheel studs are too short! What to do....

i was looking at the baer billet. just have to have them machined for the hub witch is fine by me if i get a better product

 

OH! Don't know if I mentioned this, I think Orileys/AutoZone charges a little less than Summit racing for the Studs, but that was just in my area. At first I thought I'd get the spacers and the studs together and get a deal, but Summit only sells them in packs of 10. After I'd ordered them I called Orileys/AAutoZone and I think they were like 12 cent cheaper. Though I think I got free shipping from Summit because I ordered so much.

 

Here's the order list I had with Summit. Hope the picture comes through. The wheel stud number is 610-463 from Summit. I think the guy who posted the first writeup was saying he got 641-4208 from Napa because they were cheaper, but no one even Napa by me had that number. You'll have to check around, but I can tell you the 610-463 worked perfectly and we're exactly the correct length for the 1/2" spacers, and both Summit and Orileys near me had them.

Goodyear Duratracks 285/75 on stock 16" Rims. But again with a EMU lift. Wouldn't fit with stock off road lift.

 

i running 3 inch lift....dakars and OME shocks in the rear and procomp coils up front(hopefully not for much longer...they suck)im on 275/70/18 and want to go to 285/65/18 but i will definitly have to run spacers,i just barely rub on my uca's at full lock....drives me nuts.

Does anyone know which part number if i need extended stud for 96.5 tacoma front wheels? I tried celica and corolla and none works
Current set up 1" spacer but tires way too stick out i want just put 1/4" just to clear calipers

 

Rear studs are a little longer, rear for Tacoma is Dorman part# 610-462.1, or the ARP studs would be part#

Bringing up kind of an old post here, but it's the most relevant for my question. I bought a cheaper set of seemingly quality billet hubcentric spacers on ebay. They are doing just fine about 1000 miles later, but I'm concerned with how much bite the smaller nuts that come with the spacers to fasten them to the hub has.

1.) You can't exactly get extended lug nuts for those, right? I feel like the wheel bolts to the spacer just fine.

2.) Is the only option extended lugs

3.)what's the most efficient way to press new lugs in?

*The smaller lug nuts holding the spacer onto the hub are actually sticking off the end of the lugs with thread to spare. They are tight and I've had no issues thus far.*

4.) Is this ^ potentially dangerous?

I'd post a picure, but I just worked on the damn thing and don't feel like going out to the garage at the moment.

I had to change a flat tire the other day and noticed that the lugs seem to be rusting up a bit! Had issues removing one lug nut! Not all of them are rusting equally, some more than others, but I'm disappointed and will be contacting them. These are too new to be rusting like this! In fact, they shouldn't be rusting at all!

I do NOT drive through mud, but do live in Florida where it rains a fair amount so there is about 1/4 of the time on wet roads.

Does anyone know how far the matrix studs stick out from the front rotor? I have 1/4 spacers and also using et lugs. Would I need to get rid of my et lugs?

Dorman 610-463 work for the fronts? I've seen confirmations for 1/2", just wondering if the unthreaded edge would be an issue with blocking lug nuts when using a thinner spacer.

 

Has anybody tried the wheel studs from H&R? It looks they have studs that will fit our trucks with 35mm, 45mm and 50mm of thread. I like the idea of 35mm studs because they are only 5mm or so longer than stock. Should be a lot easier to install. That will allow me to get enough thread engagement for my lug nuts.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, My mechanic buddy is fixing my wife’s 02 4runner and sent me this pic and said he won’t touch the hubs because of the spacers. He said they both look barely threaded but I have been driving with these for 3 years with no issues. Should I be concerned? I bought the truck with them installed.

 

You should 100% be very concerned. The nuts for the spacers are barely threaded onto the lugs. That is a disaster waiting to happen

 

You need to check if they’re extended thread lug nuts. If they are they probably have threaded at least 6-8 turns. That’s about the same or more than the regular lug nuts. The threads still show like that.
