I want to re-visit this topic on replacing the stock front bump stops with the Wheelers Off Road SuperBumps (bump stops).

I’ve seen some YouTube reviews and past Tacoma Reviews and all were pretty much impressed with the performance on these aftermarket bump stops.

I installed these on my 2011 Tacoma. My Tacoma has an upgrade suspension system, ICON w/ res. & CDCV adjusters on all fours.

What’s the latest reviews on these bump stops? Anybody out there who have the Wheelers SuperBump installed on there truck can share with us there experience? Thanks 79FDCA55-A3AF-41FC-AE48-01E0EC864A62.jpg

Have a set of these to install on my 2011 Tacoma. I have the same set up as you. Looking forward to reading reviews.

Do most only replace the front bump stops? Not seeing much on people replacing the rear.

Good to know. I’ll have to get a set for the front and rear soon.

Have them both front and rear and they are a serious upgrade from stock. Definitely allow a more progressive damper on the larger bumps. My fronts give off a "whomp" sound when they compress quickly.

I have these front and rear on my truck and i will say they are definitely worth it. Bumpstop contact was jarring before, especially in the rear, even just with city/highway driving. Part of that blame goes to the factory leaves though. Now I can barely tell when the bumps contact and the front soaks up hard hits nicely too. I'd be willing to bet these would make a huge improvement on a stock truck as well.

I had them on the front and rear. Now, having to have replace the front AND rear after about 5 years, I am only running them on the rear.

For the front and rear, they got to the point where they basically crumbled in my hands. If you plan on running them in ALL types of weather and especially where they salt the piss out of the roads, use plenty of anti-seize!! My bolts were frozen so bad that I had to rip the bumps from their mounts with my hands! Then, I had to drill out the seized bolt on the front passenger side.

Fronts were replaced with Durobumps from @Plastics Guy but I had to drill out the wheeler's bolt after stripping the allen bolts. The rears are still superbumps simply for the fact that I did not want to spend the money or time to either buy the durobumps ubolt flip kit or modify the wheeler's flip kit to work with the durobumps.

    Pics from my superbumps:

Functionally, they're fine. From what I have seen, they last about 5 years in harsh conditions; heat, cold, snow, salt, mud, sand etc. Time will tell how these Durobumps last.

Damn when I bottom out my dakars on the super bumps it just feels like a soft "no no axle, that is far enough buddy". Just a gentle bump in the rear.

The old stock ones were like an "OH SHIT STALHP!!!", which resulted in a spine shattering shockwave through the frame.

Got a set of SuperBump for the front on route. Running Icon Hydraulic for the rear, like driving a Cadillac. Want to install some type of hydraulic bump stop in the front in the future.

Hey for the front super bump did you add any spacer? I see they offer 1/4” or 3/8”

Just installed the front bump stop which they sent me. Used a oversized water pump plier to remove front bumps. Borrowed plier from @Dtoy

I do not run any spacers for 2.5" lift in the front. I have about 4 sets of spacers. You will really only need it for 3"+ lifts. The rear will need them depending on your max shock compression. Always measure it out! I overspaced the rear at one point and it was ultra uncomfortable.

Was there a noticeable different between the plastics guy and the wheelers bump stops?
