    It’s not even close to as hard as that meme makes it out to be. :rolleyes:

    We had a quick tech visit at the vet to pick up the pills and they gave Auggie a “hydration” injection in between her shoulder blades. The vet says this is a precaution to ensure that she doesn’t get dehydrated.

    They are reasonably confident with a diagnosis of a kidney infection and I have to give her half a pill twice daily after her meals.

    We go back on Saturday morning to get another “hydration” injection. They’ll have the results of the urine culture back next week but at this point we’re hopeful that we have a good treatment plan to get our old girl back in shape.

    She ate pretty well for dinner this evening, I gave her a mix of wet and dry food. Immediately afterwards she took the half pill with no fuss whatsoever.
    She’s currently curled up in her favorite spot next to the heat register purring contently. :)

    We moved into a house recently; Kink took a while to get used to it, but her biggest hurdle was getting used to the living room. We don't have much living room furniture so it's big, empty and intimidating. So I bought her a cat tree so she could survey her territory. She has definitely taken a liking to it.
