Good deal! Thats the best deal I could find after emailing a dozen dealerships. Got out the door right at $40k.

20180315_113300.jpg (Back in aug 17) I got a quote from a dealer 20 miles away via email for a 2017 dclb trd offroad 4x4. I copy and pasted that email to myself and dropped the price by 3k. Took it to my local dealer with the same truck in stock. They were flabbergasted at the price and said it had to be a "scam" to get me in the door. I told them well if you cant do it im off to ventura. Long story short a got the truck with some add ons for 36500 otd. I still dont know how good of a deal i got but Fuck car dealers)

I’m almost done wheeling-n-dealing on a 2019 OR DCLB w/ Premium, Tech, and a few add-on’s, If all goes well in the AM, deal will be finalized, here at an Oregon dealership, and will pick truck up on Saturday.

    MSRP - $42,297
    SALE - $38,274 + Tax / License / Docking Fee
    OTD - $38,921.37

Just north of 8% off sticker price to drive it home (9.5% without the fees).

Oregon has no sales tax, but as of 01/01/2018, the state imposed a vehicle privilege tax of 0.5% on vehicles sold with under 7,500 miles on the odometer.

Ok. Now. Did the dealer have the truck advertised on there website for that discounted price? If not, how did you negotiate that price? Im in PA and some dealers around here have Pros discounted on there sites but then when you contact them, they state that they get sold at msrp. What was the sticker price on your truck?

If I was going to buy a pro Id buy a slightly used one. ive seen some with less than 10,000 miles for around $40k. Still has factory bumper to bumper warranty, lots available, and avoid that "premium brand new" $5,000 over msrp markup. Just my $.02.

It was MSRP 47 and some change. Most Dealers wont come off MSRP. Your best bet is to call all the dealers within your area and pit them against each other in a price war. That's what I do. The last time I dealt with the same dealership when I bought my TRD OR in 2016 they went back on a deal within 24 hours So They felt forced to correct my past bad experience. Every sales person said that I was lucky to get the price that I did and said it was only because of the sales managers lack of experience that I got the deal I did. The sales guys also said that they are pretty much instructed to not discount the Pro's because of the limited supply.

Got my 2019 Sr5 2wD Double Cab Long Bed. OTD (tax, tag, all fees) for 31,800 from Brandon Toyota in Florida. Talked to all of the dealers around town and finally this was the best OTD I could get. Also got 4 years free maintenance with it. Happy with my purchase

Out of curiosity, how eager would you be to negotiate on a 2019 OR DCLB A/T that was listed at an MSRP of $39,825? Looking into new Tacomas vs. used while I wait on insurance to get off their ass on my totaled 2013.
