C31B32B8-0F35-4371-9FCB-5F87E756A8B2.jpg Has anyone had an issue with the new u bolts (after lift) not being in the actual spot the stock ubolts were in after adding a rear block lift?

There’s thus little “retainer” looking “thing” that the stock ubolts kind a “nested” in, but the new ones arent. My installer stated it’s not relevant as the new ubolts are “straight”, but wondering if he’s just not sure himself.

EDIT: Its actually what seems to hold the Bumpstop/part of the bumpstop

Can anyone tell me if this is “relevant”?

This retainer you’re talking about, is it part of the bump stop?

You added a pic. That helps.
If you’re worried about it, just loosen the nuts, then wiggle the u-bolt as you hand tighten the nuts back. Once you’re sure the u-bolt is perpendicular, torque the nuts down.

Hmmm, wonder If I could get those 2.5 axle shims out (under the block). Would there be major tension/weight on those while vehicle isnt on a lift?

Sorry, probably dumb question...law of gravity and all...LOL. :bananadead:

It's perfectly fine as it shows in your picture. It' doesn't have/need to be against the tabs on outer edge of bump stop.

Why would you want to remove shim?

What size block to you have?, is it tapered? No, you wouldn't be able to slide it out, with out jacking the weight of truck off of it. Is it a split shim? Your leaf pack bolt is running through shim if not a split shim. Rule of thumb 1 degree per inch of lift on shims. Hope this helped?
