Hey just wanted to post a fun little mod I did by working with used cars and noticing a lot of Toyota models had similar looking interior parts including the door handles, just thinking how to do small little dress ups on my interior and wondered if I could do chrome interior handles, started looking and saw that Scion TC handles looks super similar in shape, took a gamble and bought some and was glad to see that the door handles were in fact the same even having identical part numbers on the back of the handles. Installed flawlessly and happy with the results!! These handles come from 03-08 Toyota Corolla, 03-08 Matrix, and 05-10 Scion TC. And the front and rear door handles are the same so you would need two rights and two lefts :p so just in case someone else out there likes chrome like me or are in a pinch and can’t get Tacoma door handles, now you know that there are other options out there ;)

This maybe a stupid question but...
This works with both manual and electric door locks correct?

I would strongly bet yes  I’ll see if the Tacoma’s have same door handles powered vs manual.

Looking into it you should be fine as all 2005-2015 Tacoma’s share the same door handle :)

Do I need to remove entire door car to do it?

Are part numbers the same for four doors - double cab

Yes and yes, trust me thought the only door I had a slight problem with is the driver door as I wimped out and couldn’t unplug the door controls but even with that challenge I was still able to swap that handle out in 3 minutes

Just make sure to get 2 lefts and 2 rights

Shouldn’t be that much to ship two handles?

Yup, just two (left and right side). I wouldn't think shipping would be too bad, since they should both fit in a small box/padded envelope through USPS. I will PM to sort out details and price .
