I just ordered the Summit Bumper today for my Tacoma. It says to contact Tech support for install instructions on 2017 Tacoma TRD PRO models and newer. Does anyone know what this is regarding? Do I require some sort of adapter for the install?

I’m betting it’s becuase of your pro skid plate. It may require modification to fit with the new bumper.

Make sure you check the passenger side bumper mount to the frame. If it contact the air conditioner line in anyways it’ lol screw up your AC. A shop installed mine up against the line and never checked it. Huge f up on their part and I believe the mounts were modified after this to fix this issue, as my entire AC had to be replaced, which cost 7k

The mount should be angled on one of the corners to provide enough clearance.

So I talked with ARB Tech support this am and the issue is with the SMART SENSE sensor location on the TRD Pro's, it is mounted lower in the Pro grill's and there for not compatable with their bumper. I will need to purchase a regular Tacoma grill.

Well I would appreciate any feedback. I like the look of the pro grill I would hate to switch it out.

I know the pro grill wouldn’t fit on my truck with the summit bumper. It was installed to close to the grill and there is minimal room on mine to install it. Others have been successful and have them installed.

Well the bumper is back ordered so it will take me awhile before it shows up. I will let you know how it turns out.

    Hi,
Was the ARB Summit install on the Tacoma TRD Pro successful?
I was told by an ARB dealer that it's the winch solenoid that interferes with the TSS not the bumper itself... any ideas are appreciated.

    Thanks!
