When the dealer overfilled mine I was asking Danny about what happens when its overfilled. He said the pistons will slap down into the oil and create a foam that will prevent proper lubrication IIRC. Of course when I took mine in to have them look at it they "estimated" that it was only half a quart overfilled. They wouldnt drain into a bucket so I could measure it. They told me if it was more than a quart over, a check engine light would have been triggered because bad things were happening.

I’d be making a trip back and having them explain before putting a foot in their ass. And while there make them do it the right way. Being overfilled is not a good thing.

Good morning dudes! Bonus hit the bank this morning so I'm just about ready to pull the trigger on suspension/tires and wanted one last sanity check.
Current plan - 5100s Wheels AAL and OME 887s with 285/75/16 STT pros. I'm looking for the best "mild" build to keep the street characteristics decent but still be able to tackle most trails in the area, snow performance is important since I'm essential personnel at work.
I'm also looking for a short bed soft topper if anyone has one they want to part with!

Why are you going to "try to give them the runaround"? You were speeding. You were caught. Pay the fine.

Go kings and 255s if your going to a wide tire at least do 34s and make it worth all the trimming . 255s are way easier to fit and way better on gas. Jmho. Many times I wish I stuck with 255s. I think I would drive my truck a lot more.

It's a work in progress. See my build thread.
The color of the oil confuses me... Did they put tranny fluid in it?

I'll be doing the Cab mount and trimming anyway. Not against skinnier tires, however I thought that the 275s would fill out the TRD beadlocks I have better?

I think you're gonna love that. Only thing I might recommend differently is go the st maxx instead. A little better on road characteristics.
    I agree.

Anyone on here had the ST Maxx off road? Little worried about deep snow/mud with them.

I have. I had the 255 variant and they did awesome. I know a lot of people that run them on and off road in some tough shit and they do a fantastic job. Only reason I went away from them when I switched to 295s was price.
