I run them and love them. They have all kinds of traction and aren't super noisy on pavement.

 

Loved my 255 St Maxx.

 

It does look strange, almost looks purple.

 

2 for 255s, i have the st maxx. 255 Didn't need any trimming and keeps road manners as close to stock as possible. Mpg hurt a little, but nowhere. Close to what 285 would do.

 

I am also super interested in cutting pizza. But ugh, wide tires are so engraved into my brain, I almost care more about the width than the height. The most visually pleasing, proportionate looking tire, in my opinion, is the 33x12.50 r15. Not the millimeter/ratio/rim size equivalent, but a true 33. I love it. I think beach driving has beaten the wide tire necessity in my head.

 

My 255s on 0 offset 4.5bs wheels filled the truck out just fine on a 2.5" lift.

 

Everyone that I've heard that has had them have given great reviews. Not a super aggressive mud terrain but a deep A/T kind of like a Duratrac.

Couldnt resist.

 

Probably one of the closest to an MT while still being an AT. Never tried duratracs, though they looked good. I heard they are very loud. Probably not as loud as my km2's were though

 

They definitely fill the wheel well nicely from the side. Its the narrow look from straight on I'd have to get used to. And I'm against poke. I think my problem is coming from the old jeep world where fender room is not an issue, nor IFS. You can put a faaaat tire under those CJ fenders.

Worried about what now!?

Dont even hesitate if your worried about that!
They are quieter than my grabber at2s and handle better in wet. Compared to my wrangler MT/Rs there is none. The MT/rs woukd vibrate the fillings in my teeth to the point of hurting. And the radio dodnt gobloud enough.
Now Windows open and radio off isn't an issue.
I'll be getting a 2nd set when the time comes.

 

That one is on 295 southbound right before it hits 495. There are cameras on both the north and southbound lanes.

I used to know where they all are, but they move them every now and then. The 295, New York Ave and Independence Ave cameras have been there awhile though.

 

I was over at the jeep dealership yesterday and I'll be honest, some of the wranglers they have on the lot look pretty awesome...

Plus, they come with a manual transmission, which is a must for me.

 

Don't buy until you see mine I'll be down in a couple weeks, narrow isn't what it used to be.

 

And here are a couple of pictures. One from Rausch where the Coopers did a great job of moving me through ice, snow, mud and water.

 

My buddy ran durateacs in his Taco, now on his 150, definitely make a loud noise and rough ride as they wear.
