I was in Vienna Arsenal the other day and they have by far the best selection of lever guns I have ever seen in a brick and mortar gun shop. It was unbelievable. Pretty good prices, too.

I just bought a Browning Citori 20 gauge. You know...for my wife, so she can shoot with me, too. :D At least, that's how I justified it to her. I want it for upland birds.

You will learn quickly that I am the cheapest member on this forum, so trust me when I say, I will not be buying a brand new Jeep. I know that Citori and cheap don't really belong in the same post, but I have been saving my pennies and got a really good deal.

I wasnt caught. A camera took picture of my license plate, and they mailed me a bill. What if someone took one of my guns and shot someone? Would I be on the hook for the murder if they found the gun but couldnt see who shot? Constitutional rights exist for a reason.

While I'm thinking about it, anyone have any input on this option for the front of my Baja? Any disadvantages to putting a little extra preload on the spring other than a bit firmer ride? The Baja's come 1.75" higher in the front than stock with the help of the 650# TRD Eibachs. I'm looking for that last little bit. The advantage of this would, of course, be cost and the ability to retain some of the package that makes my truck what it is. I'm looking for opinions on the disadvantages. Since I am in no way a suspension guru and have never worked on anything with IFS.

Yet you were speeding. You know it, you're just pissed you got caught and I'd be pissed too. If it wasn't you then you have a case, same with the gun scenario you just mentioned. Just own up to it.

Not that simple for me. It's the method I disagree with.

When the sheriff over here in Accomack caught me and pulled me over, I paid with no complaint.

What about when you got caught parking on the cement block in the parking lot? You were wrong, you were caught, you still went to court to fight it right?

Yeah of course, but that's not "giving them the run around". I exercised my rights to fight it which I did and I got it dismissed. If you decide to request a court date and go fight this speeding ticket, that wouldn't be "giving them the run around".

If you weren't driving, then you have a legitimate reason to why you would want to fight it. I've gotten a ticket before from a camera but my family was in town and my brother was driving the car. I simply asked him to pay the fine and he did, problem solved.

Nice. I've been wanting an over/under for awhile. Just haven't been able to justify it given how much I would actually use it. Almost bought one at Dick's when I was in Fredericksburg late last year but didn't.

If the litany of bills introduced in the state pass, you would responsibly if someone stole your guns and used them in a crime if the cops say they weren't stored "properly".

Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty and being able to face your accuser. Can't exactly question a camera, and it isn't an officer going through those speed camera videos to issue tickets. It's some random person at a third party company.

That is how I see it as well, if it wasn't you driving have the other party pay. No points added to licenses for these types of fines.

That's what's great about them. There's no discretion, if you're speeding, you get a ticket, and that's that. If someone doesn't like them, well, slow down.

Maybe runaround was poor word choice. What I meant by that was I'm going to make them work for this. I want to see the certification of the camera to see if it is indeed model and specification to legally use as a speed trap, I want to see the alignment and calibration record of the camera and its doppler radar, and I want to see the credentials of the calibrator and the reviewer of the said "evidence".

Yeah, no points. But read this slowly: Fines are being issued to individuals with no legitimate proof of guilt.

I'm not a lawyer. I'm not an anarchist. I'm a guy that grew up in the punk/hardcore scene that still have some extreme views on the government and cops.

But most importantly I'm also a 33 year old adult who understands how things have to work. If a cop pulls me over for speeding, and I was speeding, I speak to him at the window as a peer and an equal, because that's all he/she is, we complete the transaction of information and I pay the fine/points/consequenses. That is not what speed cameras are.

See that I can agree with. I personally wouldn't go through the effort if I was driving and knew I was speeding, but if you don't mind then that'd be cool if you got it dismissed. Keep us updated in here like I was doing with my parking ticket.
