6.5" subwoofers in the back doors

do you need to modify the back doors of a double cab inorder to put some jl 6w3v3 subwoofers in em?

Without measuring, I would say it might be possible. Realize that this is speculation because I have not measured the depth since my install. I am sure that you have investigated the matter already, but here is what I think would need to be done.

Here are some concerns. To allow for the almost 9mm of excursion you might have to use thinner baffles so the speaker will not hit the interior of the door panel. This will reduce your mouting depth. You will need to build an enclosure that fits into the door to obtain the 0.15 cu/ft you need for the sub. You will have to seal and deaden the hell out of the doors. If by chance you take on this task and succeed, I would be very eager to try it myself. If you decide against it, hell, I might try it anyways.
