It is hard to tell exactly where it is leaking because I have the carpet headliner and it just absorbs. But definitely leaking in the front corners and along the sides. The installer thinks it is he bed rail caps. Before I had the cap I had the factory tri-fold cover, and the caps for that is different. The other option they gave me is to ship the cap back to leer and have the factory try and find the leaks on the actual cap if there is any? I can't be the only person who put a cap on with the same bed rails?

Installer couldn't get my Leer cap to not leak after 3 trips. They gave me my money back and I got an ARE at a different dealer. All is good.

A post I made about dealing my bed. 99.9% of water stays out at the car wash

LEER 100R, going on 9 years old now. Vented windoors. After the installer applied mastic material to the area where the bed rail caps meet the front bed panel, and siliconed the leading edge of both bed rail caps, there have been no leaks since.

What does leak is all of the drain holes in the bottom of the bed. I have sealed them up on previous trucks, this one I left alone. I have a rubber bed mat, so whatever minor water comes in from below just sits under the rubber mat and does no harm. I have had carpet in previous truck beds and that does not work-mildew.

I have the ARE Overland and I really like it! I have had it for just under a year, no issues with it at all!

Nope, I'd buy one of the popup camper tops instead but they weren't around when I bought my truck. If I were buying a new shell I'd probably get either an Alumicab or DCU style or at least a midrise like I had on my last Tacoma. Cab-high looks cleaner but sucks when you sleep in the back a lot. The ARE CX I have isn't a bad shell, there are just better options for what I use it for.
