That is what Rick did for me. I enjoy every shift with it.

    .
Catching me at a bad time as I just started a batch, so I won't be able to take an order for a few weeks yet.

I did just make one for @RieOrDie 2nd Gen, V2 with a new collar ... still waiting for him to have time to install it to get confirmation on my collar design. He was kind enough to send me the OEM collar to inspect, so I'm 99% it'll be good.

If you don't want the collar replacement, I'd just need to know the shaft diameter at a particular length (it is tapered). Won't know the length until you pick a ball diameter and then I'd need to model it up and such.

oh yeah, be sure to check the first post again (this for anyone confused at the offerings) ... I updated with many more renderings yesterday to show parts of all the main configurations.

I know that I've talked in the past at simplifying the first post into preconfigured options, then burying that huge wall of information for those who wish to see it.

BUUUUT, I decided against that. My target market is technically minded individuals who have experience modding their trucks, so catering to a lowest common denominator kinda takes away the spirit of what I am doing.

For now I will just keep adding more and more information to that first post until it breaks or something.

I'd love to replace the boot's collar. It's some kind of material and chrome colored YUCK :puke: But I'm afraid I'd have to modify the boot material itself to remove and reinstall. Remember, the 2nd gen MT knob doesn't "lock" into the boot, knob just threads down on the shaft and tightens against the boot collar. When I did my clutch install, I noticed there's a step/ledge on the shift lever where that collar rests, before the threads for the knob.
I'll measure from the collar to end of lever for total depth, lever diameter below threads, on the threads, and the thread length. I'll measure the stock knob's diameter and round up to the next whole inch size likely, it's a bit small.

The collar for @RieOrDie 's 2nd Gen was held in with sewing thread (3rd Gen uses zip tie). His could have been altered at some point, unless he is original owner ... not sure about that part.

The total length of the V2 should be about the same as stock, and my collar ID is 1" ... which will go over the step even if there is interference.

Stock 3rd gen averages out to 2-1/8" diameter, and I rounded up to 2-1/4" ... because this is no Subaru! The TRD ball is this size, and many seem to like it, so I went with that and stuck with it ever since.

You can always grab a proper billiard ball to see if you like it, pretty sure those are the same size as what I am making.

2-1/4" sounds perfect, like a billiard ball and TRD knob. Felt both many times ;)
Just went to lunch and checked it. The collar doesn't sit on a lip, just forces itself down the taper of the lever when the knob is screwed on. Not something I feel like worrying too much about right now, I can always pick up the collar later I feel.
I'll get the measurements when I get home this evening. Even snap a pic or two for us of the stock. Aside from those pending numbers...

    Here's what I want @Chelle94 and @7r41lbr34k3r

All black delrin, no inlays or other materials, 2-1/4" diameter, with knurling. All one piece, like the stock one. No top or other engraving. Pretty much what @tonered has/had at some point, know I saw this in one of his pics.

I apologize that cellphone pics are not doing this justice, in the way that the Entune screen is not as dirty as it appears. I promised Rick that I'd get him something much better.

Eight months of use / rosy palm polishing. Redlinegoods boot (ordered 2in shorter than stock). De-chromed boot collar. And, a bit of somethin', somthin' from the bottom of the OP.

    You said it! Thanks!

Rick's other knobs are absolutely killer, but the round ball with my fingers curled under . . . It is just slick shifting.

For the 3rd Gen'ers, that somethin', somethin' creates the perfect gap and a big step up from the grommet mod.

It does make quite the intimate connection with the stock collar.

I think everyone here has a firm grasp on their manhood?

Besides, knob jokes are hilarious. What do I rage about, you ask? Fucking ball kicking for laughs in shows / movies.

I know, truck is dirty. That's high quality eastern Kentucky clay dust!! Good stuff!

@7r41lbr34k3r if you need anymore info than what I wrote down, let me know. I couldn't find my mics so I used a good tape measure. I can run to HF and pick up another set if you need more precision. Should be proper measurements for all 2nd gen 5spd MT knobs and shafts
