He's ripping around Scottsdale in his bedazzled rhinestone jeans scowling at every 3rd gen he sees. Some say, on certain rare occasions you can still hear Smitty's 3rd gen rear diff howling into the dry desert air at the full moon.

 

He was a good guy but holy fuck did he ever complain to much.

We get it . You got a lemon . Yes it sucks.
But shut the fuck up already and take the loss or lemon law it.

If Toyota paid as much attention as him they would never have an issue lol

I never had an issue with Smitty . It got annoying sometimes but He wasn't a dick.

Before my purchase, did a lot of research. Smitty was all over this board when I signed up. Had me concerned about the truck. I figured he had to be an outlier with all his problems. Test drove Taco and competing brands. It was the only choice. Purchased and held my breath. Not quite a year into it, breathing fully now. Sorry Smitty you took all the problems for the team. We salute you.

Never 'met' Smitty but this sounds a lot like the vanillaification that is going on in todays world....all peaks and valleys get removed....only the average remain....boring.....

He had a lot of negative things to say almost always. Helped provide useful info every now and then. Morale in the 3rd gen sector did improve once he was banished though. As said above, I wasn't a fan of him here on the forums, but I'd crack open a cold one with him.

 

Smitty was a good dude. He actually defended the 3rd gen when he first got his truck from all the initial hate at first. But then issues with his truck arose and he started hating it himself.
