I half ass repaired it with some 3/16 plate. I'd like to run a piece of 2x1 across to the opposite mount.

I was thinking of just seeing is some 2x1 or 3x1 C channel would work to wrap around the stock mount.

    I have mods
That was my thought too. Would be the strongest option short of replacing the mount completely.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
Are you dealing with All Pro direct, or through a vendor?

A buddy of mine lives in Fresno (where All Pro is) but he went through a vendor (Recycled Toyotas) and ended up getting his Plate bumper, rear bumper, skids, and sliders in like 3 days (and at a lower cost than direct through All Pro).

I get that you're not local and your options with All Pro are probably more limited than ours (local). But All Pro has been pulling their heads out of their ass since they merged with Trail Gear.

Contact Trail Gear directly, if you haven't already...they're supposed to be pretty decent about customer service. There's no more All Pro really, just the name that stuck around when TG bought them out

I'm just trying to get skid plates that properly mount up to my truck without me having to spend money on modifying them.

The guy I have been dealing with is a Trail Gear guy. Doesn't seem to understand how emails work since he never replies. Tells me he will call me back with a resolution and I never hear back until I call him again.

    Damn, that sucks.

Now that you mention it though, I think he had a problem mounting his skids too. It's @TacoJohn4x4 hopefully he can chime in and let you know how he got it worked out.

Is that about an inch in height off?
Or is it just the holes don't line up?

About an inch to the 5 oclock position if that makes sense

So the height is okay, the skid plate touches the mounting points.
The holes don't line up and its 1" too far towards the back of the truck?

Correct. If I bolt those 4 spots up it hits the steering rack and the rear bolt locations don't align.

Shiettt. It sucks but doesn't look hard to fix. I wouldn't pay more than 100 to have it fixed .
I'd just see if you could get that money back from all pro or whatever it is now. Then spray it with black paint. Will match easy with ur PC.
But if you wanna keep arguing for months go for it. Up to you

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

Are you trying to mount it to stock locations? I think All Pro skids only line up with All Pro bumpers.

I'm pretty sure the All Pro bumper hangs down farther.

*Edit* I couldn't tell at first but looking again, I think that's an All Pro Baja bumper.

That is the AP bumper in the picture, the guy I have been talking with claims that since AP didn't use "perfect" jigs before TG acquired them they have had a lot of these issues where the stuff they are now making and selling does't mount up properly to other products. o_O

Ya, I couldn't tell at first but then I looked again and realized it was an All Pro Baja.

So, I'm still at work, so I haven't gotten a chance to take another crack at the U-joints.

But for curiosity sake, I called the local driveline shop. Asked him how much he'd charge to replace 4 U-joints (specifically not the Double Cardin), 1 carrier bearing, and check balance on the front and rear drivelines. (Specifying the drivelines are not on the truck - all bench work)

$565  (for Spicer parts not OEM)

You have got to be F'n kidding me... Ya, no, that's not happening.

    Some questions.
Has the truck had any front end accidents that could throw the alignment off?
Do you have a diff drop installed? That will also throw off the alignment.

I have a diff drop on mine so that cause my plate alignment to be off. However it was an easy fix. I used a carbide dermal bit, cost about $15-20 for just the bit, and made the holes in the plates a little bigger, back holes. I also used some washers and a SS spacer, from HD, for the back of the IFS skid. I have both my transmission and IFS skid installed on my Apex bumper. I would align and bolt the front first. Then you can make the holes in the back bigger, use spacer/washer if needed.

How you tried contacting the TG in Fresno CA? I want to say that’s their main HQ. I been there a few times and every time they been helpful in finding a solution. I can see how not being local can be annoying dealing with big heavy parts.

I can confirm the skid plate hardware were not exactly correct, they still work but the bolt style was wrong. They gave me new ones.

They told me they are working on the ALLPRO products line and fixing them as it comes to their knowledge. They would pull batches/parts, recheck, and replace.

    @Teke
