I’ve got a Shield Performance 9mm that I carry and I love it. Light enough it doesn’t even weigh down my basketball shorts if I’m carrying

It does. I had an XDS at one time. Was a good pistol. I do like that XDE, I just don't like Springfield for reasons I won't get into on this thread. That would be a solid option though because of the single stack man.

I want a Sig 238, but just don't feel comfortable carrying a cocked and locked firearm. Really need that decocker.

You could go old school and get a S&W 3913; they're a single stack w/a DA/SA trigger and decocker/safety. I have the larger, all stainless 5906 and it's an awesome shooter. The trigger reset in SA mode is crazy short the pull is quite crisp, too.

I love my 5906; very accurate in SA mode, and I like the flexibility to carry it with the decocker down in full safe or just keep it in DA mode, depending on the occasion.

    A few things.

One is when I holster the weapon I keep my thumb on the hammer so I know nothing is going off.

I'm not gonna go through all, it's a person preferance. I carry appendix and that makes me really picky about things.

Just keep yer booger hook and clothing off the bang switch and you wouldnt have any issues appendix w/ any pistol. I get where youre coming from but there isnt anything unsafe about carrying a reputable striker fired pistol appendix.

This is why I carry a P07. Control and frankly a little bit of fear, lol.

    Me too.

Absolutely love that pistol. Put some Tritium sights on mine. That pistol eats any ammo you feed it too.

Not bad for a cold day (made the mistake of wearing shorts and a T-shirt to the range) and a $400 gun

They fired and hired all new ROs at our local range so I finally started going back. Old crew literally had no idea what they were doing and were gonna get someone killed

Me too, maybe Monday after an interview, I’ll be down near my range anyway.

That is fantastic , And one of the reasons I have not been to the outdoor range in awhile is because of RO's that think they know everything. Some of them are cool but you alway's have at least one that wants to be the Spokesperson/ Drill Instructor for the whole place. :annoyed:
