Only the tube, without the sensor. That one has it.

 

2 bolts to take the sensor out, not a big deal.

 

Yup, that alone would be the number 1 reason why I wouldn't do it. Not that hard to repin but why go through the trouble.

 

Didn't realize the differences of the newer vs. later style MAF's

 

95-98 intake - 95-98 maf + volvo tube= lets you run 99-04 maf on a 95-98 intake

I was thinking it was a cost thing, not necessarily a difficulty thing.

 

Oh if the sensor was like 150$ dollars I wouldn’t buy that but 45isnt a big deal, just get it next week when I get paid.

ok, @Empty_Lord got my answer for the LT cv axle question. talked to monte and the internals are different and it's not worth making my own.

 

Why not just buy the aftermarket replacement air box? They make aftermarket for the 99-04. Are they crap quality?

 

I think he just wants to make the airbox he already has work.

 

Too bad you don't need a 4cyl box, I got a couple of those..

@eon_blue do you have a carb sticker on your sc? Someone reached out to me asking about one in before he gets smogged and I know you passed. Talking to him more it sounds more like he just wants to have one since it should have one from the factory.

Wish I had the 5VZ airbox. Stupid easy to change the air filter.

I mean, the 3RZ air filter isn't any more difficult - but sliding it out in a few seconds is very nice.
