Awesome, thanks.. I'll get that case then. Under $500.00 with 78k on it. Not bad I guess, so I'll be all over it. Thanks for the simple terminology... lol!!

The case can be modified for twin-stick, from what I've seen. Does this require taking the case apart, or just modify the top piece?? Thanks again Mr. Kees, Bro of the Taco!!!

I believe that Wyatt at Rock Solid Toys has a good write up on what’s involved when you twin-stick the case. I ordered my case from Wyatt so it came with the twin stick mod already done.

In my opinion, the twin stick mod is really worth it as it allows you to take advantage of all that the transfer case offers.

You are correct though, the case must be taken apart in order to do the twin-stick mod.

Thanks Mr. Kees!! Bro of the Taco!!! I'll see when I can order this case, and at least have it at hand. I won't install until I have all the materials... Add switch, handles, etc, etc.. Thank you, and fellow TCW!!! Best forum yet!!!!

Wait, if you don't engage the ADD and push the stick into low range you have 2lo don't you? No twin stick necessary...

hx989, you are indeed correct, it is possible to have 2lo without twin sticks. As you said, engage 4lo and don’t engage the ADD. In my write-up though I elaborate on some of the advantages of having twin-sticks.

Just change the gears to low and leave the front driveshaft unengaged, 2Lo actual as opposed to spinning the front driveshaft with the front ADD unengaged

    EDIT:

Never mind. I don’t have low range. Apparently, only H and N. If I put the old sticks back on, I have all three positions. I guess it’s a problem with the new sticks. Pretty disappointing after waiting 2.5 months to get these...

Have any of you guys used the new RST twin sticks yet?

I’m just starting to install mine. I don’t have a neutral position in the L/H side.

I’m wondering if these sticks eliminate the N position, or if I’ve screwed something up. I know Wyatt mentioned “short throw”. Maybe that’s it. I don’t know.

    The new sticks

Cool. I’d like to see that.

Maybe Wyatt is aware and has a fix then.

Maybe something just needs a bit more clearance? Something not letting the shifter move that last little bit into low position?

I’m going to go pull it off and try to see what’s up now.

Likely something is binding and preventing the linkage from going all the way forward

It’s certainly a clearance issue. I believe it’s the shape of the pieces that mate with the T-case shifter slots. If I put the Case in low, then set the sticks in place, the holes in the shifter base and case are off. The base is about a 1/4” rearward of where it needs to be to bolt in.

New on the top of pic, old on bottom.

Yeah, I'd feel the same way, just a pain in the ass that you will go several more days/weeks/months without your truck being trail ready
