    I remember seeing a prototype but not sure if they went into production. Was it @Mobtown Offroad ?

    Yes. They couldn’t justify due to lack of demand. I’d like some, so it’s me and you.

    Why aluminum? I could see aluminum because of weight wise, but all the weight is distributed. Unlike a frunt bumper all the weight is on the front coils. And they are a bit more expensive. I did not notice a difference height wise on my truck with steel sliders.

    Weight savings. I don’t want to bog my truck down with armour, when I really only want sliders for an “oh shit” moment. I don’t plan on doing the Rubicon in my Taco.

    They don't rust either. That's a selling point for me.

    @Mobtown Offroad

    How many would you need to make to make it worth your while, and what would they cost?

    Unfortunately nothing. We built them, they worked but they’re very pricey for the weight savings

    look at SDHQ sliders. i have them. 49lbs per side and the only ones i found in the market made from 4130 chromemoly tubing. strong & light... you won't find a good set this strong under 100lbs anywhere else... but you'll pay for them. expensive as hell even before pcoat. i cried once and now I'm totally happy.

    That’s because it literally makes zero engineering sense to build them from 4130. It’s expensive for no benefit.

    I’m not trying to bash another company’s product. They are very nice looking sliders.
