I went with the X2 Power version. It’s solid. Have run it with the truck off for extended periods and it has yet to die and cranks quickly in all temps

Ordered the X2 last night. With the 20% off plus the $30 mail in rebate it made it almost $100 off. Pick it up today.

Mine cranks fine but the leaking is driving me crazy! My terminals are corroding similar to if not slightly worse than @ChrisK7UND battery. I brought this up to the service manager at my last Toyota care visit and he told me that it wasn’t covered under warranty. Maybe I’ll check with them again or another dealership to see if they can swap it out and use the replacement as a backup. Anyone else bring this issue up to Toyota? If so, what was their response?

I gave up. The corrosion drives me nuts and my safety or patience is not worth getting another crappy flooded cell battery. This is tonight’s project:

Well crap, installed the new battery and had no voltage. The negative terminal is twisting and making an intermittent connection. Called and they are ordering me another one. I must have got the one made on Friday! :) he said he had NEVER had one come back so I guess call it bad luck. Grrrrr. But man, my stocker is covered in acid now that I have it out.

    I too pulled the trigger on an X2Power 27F - PT#SLI27FAGMDP.
My otd price was $257.99 after the 20% discount code and the $30 rebate.

My factory battery is going on 6 years 8 months.

If you want, a 31 will fit with a little modification.

I don’t think the 31 is subject to the discount because they consider it rv/marine not auto. I tried that one first and don’t need it enough to spend that much more.

Why in hell does Toyota put a non-sealed battery in an off road vehicle? I realize this is rhetorical but geez... I went with an Odyssey.

Batteries need attention. Yearly, at least, clean the connections. Refill the cells with H2o. Any obvious leakage is not good.... Iv'e tried anti-corrosion spray on the terminals and it has worked very well. Just a thought.

According to Toyota you are not supposed to have to add water. And also, if you do, it must be distilled water and not tap water. If it’s gassing to the point of being low on water they will warranty it.

for the corrosion issue, after your battery is hooked up, spray some fluid film on the posts. no corrosion on mine going 2-3 years strong.

Toyota also thinks my truck did not need a proper PDI. IE: Check ALL fluids when new.

Well my Tranny/rear end/front diff/grease in zerks ALL needed to be checked and topped up. I'm glad I did it myself.!

Say what you want Toyota...… I'm not treating MY truck like you do yours..!
