No experience with these wheels but I’m thinking they’re hubcentric. The listing only states not to use hubcentric rings, probably since they’re not necessary if you purchase the model matching your truck.

The wheels are hub centric, if you look in the material highlighted in blue this is from one of their resellers.

    Tacoma fitment
    17x9 -12 offset
    6x139.7 bolt pattern
    106.1 hub bore

    These are two pictures I found of a 265/65/17 all terrain on a 17 x 9 wheel

That apparently didn't make any more sense to Toyota than it does to me, but I welcome it.
During the course of this day, and with the few more pics provided by @boomer407, I'd sold myself on these wheels either way. I was having a hard time finding the look I wanted, and this is it.

glad to help! No regrets with these wheels one bit. They look great and they are lighter than most options out there. On a side note, My 2019 had a weird vibration when decelerating on the stock wheels & tires, went away completely when I put these on.

    Here you go!

Shipped fast from Kali, so fast they threw the wrong lugs in the box, leading to a bit ass rapery at the tire shop on some of the shittiest lugs I've ever put on a vehicle. I spoke to customer service @ Venomrex before placing the order, and judging by that conversation I'm confident they'll have me the right lugs in short order.

The rims look fantastic in person. Balanced out easily, with no shimmies or shakes. They are indeed hub centric, and weigh in @ the promised 24 and change lbs. (someone had stated they weighed 28lbs)
Couldn't be happier with the -12 look on the 9" rim. Anyone that's on the fence, they look better in person than the pics depict.

Good choice, and good luck in the search.

Finding the right rim that wasn't already rolling on every other truck in town wasn't easy, and I damn sure couldn't afford to buy twice. lol

    I love them.
Nice and quiet on the road, while aggressive enough for the off roading in my AO. Probably wouldn't do real well in the mud, but I do my best to stay out of the stuff.

    And relatively light, @ 40.21lbs in the 265/65/17 w/ 13.5mm tread depth.

Interesting point. I know on higher end sports cars, the fear of not using hub centric has to do with lateral sliding into impact barrier potentially causing the lug bolts to sheer off.

On a truck, I would have been less concerned, but you make a good point. Also figure if it's hub centric, you could potentially be in a better situation if you lose a lug nut.

    Nice!

Sorry if I missed it, but you are running this set-up on the stock suspension? If so, no rubbing?

    Thx.

To be clear, despite the poor choice of words on the Venomrex web page, these are indeed, hub centric. I wasn't going to let it be a deal breaker, but I was pleased to find they were.

Conical or as iIhave heard them refered to as Acorn lugs can be used on hub centric wheels too.

Toyota FJs had both black steel wheels with acorn, and the aluminum wheels which used Toyoya style lugs. Both were hub centric, and fit on the Tacomas.

Stock on stock tire size. No problems.

The -12 offset gives the illusion of a 1" lift.

    Nice (again).

I wondered with the -12 offset if there would be any challenges.

    Thanks for the info.

That makes sense. I figured the folks that make a nearly $300 wheel have to know what they are doing, but doesn't mean that their website marketing guy wrote it out correctly. These look good on all colors and great on a few colors.
