What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

You got screws? Mine just has to threaded holes there...

 

Yeah, they are t30 screws just like the other ones on the factory rail but they just spin either direction. Almost feels like they are held in by a nut. I might take the rail off to see if that’s the case.

Knee rests against it. I don't mind it. Could put a layer of foam or such if needed. I'll take the slight discomfort for the increased safety. Made this a while back and moved it from my Hyundai Santa Fe.

 

Ive been trying to think how I could put a Kydex holster there but the angle was killing me....and the answer is spacer

I have two problems with that position
1. its at the passengers reach.
2. My leg takes up that part.

Got it off eBay for $75 .and the letters aren't the tape on ones like everyone says so I was happy.

 

Mine had no screws either. I just recently removed the rail to install some weather stripping. Wonder if yours had the factory tonneau cover and it was removed before sales?

Quick cleaning and put on the @rrentrop Toyota vinyl on the pro grill for a bit of color

Definitely not for everyone. The Tacoma isn't known for its leg room.

Added at least 10 HP...............TRD oil cap, TRD Rad cap, New air filter and Cabin filter. Cabin filter pretty dirty at 20,000 miles.

Great buy.....now take those finger grooves off it and put some grips on that allow you to let your hand ride up high into the safety.....change it out to a beavertail......thank me for it later on after you get home from the range.

SYH at something else. Having a holster on your hip with a shirt over it and a seat belt means no drawing while seated. Say what you want, but being able to draw while seated and no one knowing what I'm doing is ideal.

I've had someone in a bad part of town come up to the door while stopped at a light at night. He never knew i grabbed my gun and had the option. Luckily, he was just aggressively begging and got the hint based on my tone. It's a smooth motion and stays below eyesight.

I will never sacrifice my or my family's safety for someone else's SMH.

Not knowing if you carry or what Pennsylvania laws are, I'll opt out of commenting further.

 

It should still be a little more hidden IMO.
