The third Gen Off Road wheel is the best looking Toyota has put out IMHO. Combined with the tread pattern of these tires, makes them even look better as illustrated in Tacomobbin's photo. Just don't know how to include in my post. Been thinking of getting a set of these wheels and tires for my 14.

Was in Discount Tire the other day and they had these on display right next to the K02s and honestly they both looked the same to me. I wanted to give these a try but they didn’t have any in stock in 265/70/16 or 265/75/16 so I went with K02s. It looks like the Goodyear are rated better for the snow but only experience will tell you if they are or not.

Can anyone chime in on the road noise compared to the stock Wrangler AT on the Pro? Considering these because I want a more aggressive tire but still want something comfortable enough to daily drive. These seem to be one of the better looking tires that come in a SL rating.

well, ive had them balanced like 4 times now, at 2 different places and cant get rid of steering shake. Shop said front end all looked good. so what am I supposed to do now? thought it was tires, swapped tires. thought it was wheels, swapped wheels. Had front end checked good. going to swap tires again!. Had them order some coopers. this has been ridiculously frustrating

I'm going thru the same thing you are..

Since Thanksgiving I've went thru, a new set of KO2s (one tire was bad out of the OG 4), New General Grabber ATX, and now these Ultraz.

Shaking in front and rear, comes and goes, sometimes worse than others.. I'm sure some is speed related , in terms of exaggerating the shaking at diff speeds etc.

Seems maybe temps "may" be playing some role, I'm wondering if it's effecting the rubber compound, possibly causing problem to amplify..?

They'll road force, I'll leave, and everything will be seemingly balanced etc, then after driving some time, the shake begins.

I'm obliviously guessing at this mystery, because nobody seems to know WTF.

This is a pain in the ASS! Also slightly embarrassing, bc I feel like maybe my truck ass looks like it's twerking going down the road.

This is a quite tire. I can't say how they'll be once they have a lot of miles on them, but as of now I don't see these being loud enough to ever bother anyone.
I've run dam near all of them at this point it seems.

Put 265 70 17's on my 4Runner a week ago and really like them so far. Less road noise and smoother ride than the KO2's on my pickup and seem comparable in snow and on dirt (I thought the Cooper AT3's were noisier than both of these on the street). Used them in 8" of fresh snow in the woods and they worked great (no ice or mud experience yet). In all fairness, the KO2's do have thicker sidewalls and I usually get over 60k miles per set. Mine balanced fine and have no shake at all at this point. If they wear well, these may become my go to tire. Wound up buying these based on feedback from this forum, glad to have feedback from all of you to help guide my decision, thanks.

Yes I think so, I went up one size. From 265/65/17 to 265/70/17 so my speedo is off a little. I used to get 20-21 on my daily commute, now I get 19-20. This is at 60 mph, 40 mi distance. So I’m guessing around 1-2 mpg hit, I don’t calculate my mileage, just use the trucks computer. Not as bad of a hit as I thought, but worth it.

I ended up getting these tiresIMG_20190110_181915.jpg for my stock truck in the 265/70/16 size. Love them so far. Low road noise and way better in the rain than the Kevlars. Going to try out in the snow next weekend :)

Harden your bark, there are storms on the horizon.
Been running these in 265-75 for 3000 miles. Noise is low. Smooth going down the road. Good wet traction. Good snow traction. No real mud as of yet. Thusfar I give them an 8 of 10.

How do you think these tires are doing for you so far? Curious if you can offer some information on tread wear, noise and how they do in the rain. Thanks

They also did just fine in the snow when driving around Mt Hood and in the pouring rain on the drive back. Only thing left is to test in some mud and sand.

Is there a way to rig the computer so the speedometer and MPG calculater is not off when going up a size?
