Here's the one i used on my dad's taco when mounting some 5100s and eibach 620s on his truck. No issues so far and they're affordable. I dont see any advantages of buying them from HS except for customer service. Everything that i've heard is that they're top notch on treating their customers right. It's up to you to decide what that's worth to you though. Please note that the link i posted is for a single mounting kit so you will need two. The HS link you posted up above is for a pair.

Nice, thanks for the input guys! I think I'll save a little money and buy the ones from Amazon, that way I have more money to blow at Headstrong. I'm buying their lift coils this week to put on my new 5100s. :bananadance:

Even though there is probably no difference, I went with the HS set. I also bought their AAL yesterday. I guess I'm a sucker for brand loyalty.

I ordered some Monroe off of Rock Auto they come with no bushings, both top and bottom. While I don't need the top, Bilstein supplies their own, I need the bottom one. Does the KYB come with the bottom bushing?

If you're talking about the top of the shock, here is how it goes. There is no bottom bushing. Starting from the shoulder on the shock, it goes like this. Shock boot(plastic piece that covers the shock), washer, top hat, rubber bushing, washer, locknut. All of these mentioned parts, except the boot, come with the KYB tophats.

Got ya. Just curious, cause watching this video on Youtube, the guy mentions a rubber bushing on the underside of the tophat. Wasn't sure if Tacomas were the same cause the Monroe that I ordered is just bare metal.

The tophat has thick rubber built into the bottom of it. That's why there's no bottom bushing. Some people think, "Oh, there should be a bushing in there", and they jam it all together.

Got ya. I just can't tell. The aftermarket Monroe ones seem to be bare metal. So I've decided to order the KYB and return the Monroes.

Good choice. I had this stupid debate of Headstrong vs KYB. I somehow convinced myself that HS was going to be better built or something. I ordered the HS set, and after looking at them for a while, I saw the same part number as the KYB set. As for the bushing under the top hat, it's built in. They're the exact same components (HS/KYB). I lost $40 or so.. Oh well, it's done and they're not coming off until they need to. Good luck on your install.
