I want to keep this main front skid. But have no protection for the oil pan.
When we did the lift on this. They threw away the secondary skid that goes under this.

Was looking to buy budbuilt skids. But they have said theirs would not both work in conjunction with this skid, and also because I have a differential drop.

So now I have even fewer choices of companies to choose from.
And if I Hodge-Podge parts from different companies, (like getting a mid plate, or transmission plate) they might now work well together. And I also may run into problems getting my rock sliders to work with certain plates.

I like the look of the factory skid. It buts right up to my front bumper.
But even if I do away with that, looks like my differential drop might cause issues.
Budbuilt said having a 3 inch lift did not require me to do a differential drop.

They were very helpful with the info the sent me.

Rip the diff drop out and get a functional skid? :notsure:

The diff drop on 2nd gens is pointless and does more harm than good.

Yeah, thats what the guys at Budbuilt said. Not sure why BAERTRAX dropped it. But I did not know any better either when they installed my lift

Angles the diff so that the internals are no longer properly lubricated.
