So this happened. Can it be fixed or is it time for Kings?

This could have been avoided by a small notch for the resi hose. Might want to think about that next time.

Does that notch have to be added for other rear shocks?

If the hose is right next to the mount, real easy, small hand grinder. Just need to open it up a bit. The bushing compresses a bit and it causes the hose to hit the mount. Good luck.

I clocked the hose on my foxes so it has a lot more clearance than OP had. No issues for me.

really , a notch is the answer , not the fact that a high cost product is failing , simple to fix the leak possibly may just need to be tightened there , not my Tacoma , last thing id want to hear is how install may have made a part fail ?

I’m thinking high clearance rear with dual swingouts, archive shock relocation and 12” kings.

It’s been documented before that you need to notch the upper shock bucket for the icon resi’s. It’s in the instructions as well. OP will have no case if he tries the warranty route because he didn’t follow the instructions, provided he’s still within the warranty. Only recourse would be if he paid a shop for install and then he could go after them for improper installation.

You shouldn't have to do this for an OEM replacement. The only other thread I've seen of a similar issue is on Icons. A notch is not the answer.

Yea OP has icons, and that’s the issue they tell you specifically to notch the shock bucket.

Really a great solution. Rather than re-engineer the shocks to actually be a true bolt on product tell the consumer to cut up the truck. Don't want to dig into those profits.

That’s why I have foxes on my truck. I will never use an icon shock. Although I’m looking into their RXT spring pack.
