I ride by myself 90% of the time. Riding with a group intimidates me, especially if Im in front. All the trails I ride are in city limits, and the preservation society has markers every quarter of a mile so crews can find you if something happens.

Really I hate riding alone because I don’t push myself.

 

I don't mind doing it by myself, it's just hard to get the motivation to go without someone wanting to go. You are doing it to get back in shape right? Or was that someone else?

Sorta, more or less just needed a hobby that wasnt wastefully spending lots of money on my truck. I lost a good amount of weight before I started riding, I couldnt imagine doing it if I was still 25 lbs heavier. I thorougly enjoy it, any day thats nice out and I have a few hours to kill, Im riding. My friends bought real expensive bikes and dont ride them, if they do, they meticulously detail them after a ride. I try not to be like them. And our work schedules dont allow us to ride together often.

Haha she drove home fine after epoxy on the tank and hammering the hole closed, and bending out the carrier bearin, she drives nice.

 

It is nice to have extra motivation, but Ive only been riding a month or so. Still working up to more technical stuff. My friends dont really ride at all despite them having nice bikes, and I have more free time then them. Just works out better for me to go alone.

Nice! It's so easy to just keep dumping a bunch of money modding out these trucks. If I could talk the wife into getting on her bike I think we could have a good hobby. My bikes nothing special either. Yeah all the top of the line stuff is nice but I think the most important part is just getting out and doing it. Mines kind of set up for hunting with a front fender and back rack/fender. Keeps you a little cleaner and gives you more options for gear.
