can you just refinance your 17? Not that I think it's a great idea, but if you need $$$ and want to use the truck equity, seems better than trading depending on rates. o_O

I'm taking a 401k loan. Interest is high, but a least I'm paying the interest to my self.

Definitely the right way to go! Or...depending on interest rates it might make more sense to use the 401K loan to pay off your 2017 and have extra money every month.

edit, you'd be paying on your 401k loan, so you'd still be paying every month. But depending on interest rates you may be paying less...that's what I meant.

Dealers don’t do KBB...good luck OP. I predict bad financial times in your future. 401 loan...trading in for “tax savings”. I’m out.

I worked in the car industry for years before the crash in 07', the trade in # they give you is all bullshit anyways. The dealer can borrow front end gross from the vehicle you're buying and move it to your trade

Is not only to save money. As I mentioned before is to get the new TSS. I think my wife and kids will be safer with the new technology. I'm probably waiting until the end of the year to trade it for a 2020
