I know, I'm a dumb shit. I read my contract and found the $3000.00 100,000 mile warranty right there. With my signature on it.

You know the drill, "sign here, here, and here, initial here, and here.

They explain ALL of the charges EXCEPT the warranty that he said he was "giving" me. They charged me for it and it gets financed on top of it.

They get you in there, get you horny when you finally know you are getting the truck you really want, and your brain goes numb. Apparently, mine did and I'm a pretty smart man.

I called the head finance gal at the dealership when I was PISSED, she sensed it, and said she would make it right or take it off.

Has anybody had this happen to them? Please say yes, so I'm not the only dope.

Would you go to the owner of the dealership? Toyota corporate?

The warranty -- you should be able to cancel it and get a refund prorated back regardless.

If it is a genuine Toyota extended warranty you can cancel it foe a refund, if it's a 3rd party warranty then it probably depends on who it's thru.

Well, I got "upsold", but definitely not scammed.
All it took to convince me was "you know these things are basically computers-on-wheels nowadays, right?" and "with the .99% financing, it's a good deal".
Sucker? Maybe, but the peace-of-mind is valuable IMO.
    Mine was $2000, though.

You’re not the first to fall victim to this dealership scheme... and you won’t be the last. Should be no issue to cancel this part of the purchase. Only hiccup may be with the financing, but should be able to remove if you’re still within the first three or five days (depending on state and funding source)... otherwise, the dealer may refund the warranty by way of a check (cash), which you will still have financed. It all depends on how far along the financing is... get full refund as soon as possible.

I just go into the finance office and tell them this.

"You're going to say a lot of shit, and I am going to say no to everything. You can either waste your time selling things to me or you can move on to your next customer. The choice is yours".

Some dealers are shady. When I bought my 2016, they financed me at 2.9% instead of 1.9% which I sensed was shady so I asked and they were like “rates have gone up, that’s normal”. I just went with it so I could get the truck. I refinanced the next day to 1.9.

It’s all a game to get you a “deal”

Warranties are good and bad. You MUST read the EXCLUSIONS section because many of them exclude quite a bit and you'll find yourself standing at the service desk with 85k on the ODO trying to get them to fix the fucked gizmotron. Guess what? Gizmotron is not covered. Service departments hate them because, well, they suck. The effort required to get paid is monumental.

Anyway, a good one is worth its weight. There aren't many and I suspect you already know that your computer on wheels is probably going to last a lot longer than 100k miles too.

The finance guy laughed at me for continuously refusing the warranty or even the maintenance plan. I almost got up and left.

Anyways u should be able to remove it and get it refunded easily
