My 75K mile stock ones had an arch. My new Dakar look just like his. Pisses me off. OME won't do anything about it & says as long as they're not broke, they won't do anything about it.

Installed the d-ringe from strap works on my cubbies, removed the dang adhesive from the entire back of my tailgate for my soft topper and put magnets into the Velcro. Once I have proof of concept I'll inject glue from the fuzz side to hold them in place. That glued Velcro strip is stupid. It released from the adhesive and left the glue on the tailgate. Had to use a heat gun to remove and wd40 to finish. Ugh

Also tried something on my tired bumper plastic. Heat gun will bring the oils back up and make it look like new! I did just the step as proof of concept. The spots on the bumper are wd40. 8044.jpg

Drove this third gen with a 6 inch lift on it. Turning radius was non existent, but it drove nice, power seemed laggy but kicked in hard around 3500 rpm. Also put in another set of lights for my sleeper set up. One switch is up front for when i need light at night, the other switch is near where my head will be. Just need a sleeping pad and some refletix curtains and it will be good to go

Built a carpeted sleeping platform. 3/4" plywood, no hardware so install/removal takes ~2 minutes and it stores flat.

Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
Built brackets and prepped install for LRA Extended Range Fuel Tank (33 GAL). Prepped new fuel pump for boost coming later...

For those interested I have a DCLB and this is the DCSB kit. The brackets for adaptation are straight forward. Shout out to Ward at @Cruiser Brothers for all the help from LRA.

Drilled a bunch of holes in a bottle and put some Gain laundry pellets in it. I put it in my truck to make it smell like fresh laundry.

    A thing or two...
I went over to @Casper66's house yesterday to modify the @Mobtown Offroad transmission skid to fit my truck. Chris took care of the modifications and welding. He also redid my cmc while I got the skid plate painted.

Didn't get any pictures of the other side of the skid showing the bracing.

New wheels and tires: TRD 4Runner rims in matte black fitted with Nitto Terra Grapplers 265/70R/17.

Stock suspension. Very slight rub on the left mud flap on a full right turn but since the mud flap is pliable, I'm not too worried about it. I may get some 5100s installed at a later date.
