looks like an odd shaped switch, damn... hard finding a horizontal ECT button... want to relocate mine to below the radio

 

you can have a GM 3.8l carb'd v6 for 150 bucks... 32k miles.

 

sper will take that one... wont help my parts list for a conversion

 

im going to start throwing parts onto the old frame once the bodys off and slowly assemble another Taco. lol

And the 02 is going 4x4

that is the next big plan... been scouring CL and boneyard sites this evening. Not much on CL at all and I'm not tyler - can't go digging around the big yards north of us in the valley, not enough time.

 

The only junkyard parts I pulled myself in my 4x4 swap was a front differential and the black shifter console from a 1996 4Runner Limited, and that was purely by coincidence.

I bought everything else from the 1st Gen Marketplace, eBay, and www.car-part.com

i'll keep my eye open out here for one. they pop up cheap once in a while.. i paid 50 bucks for one of mine..

 

right switchs.. but i dont see a ECT button, damn

 

Crazy idea: but how about you just use the existing switch you have, yet sideways?

 

because the lettering being sideways will drive me up a wall.. lol

 

rav4s have one that'll work. but the color is green. not amber. now if i change my interior lights to green, this is fine. but if i dont.. once again i'll lose my mind over it..

2nd gen runner has the switch type where you can flip the decal 90°. And switch to an Amber light cap

This is coming from a person who restored a perfectly working welder and re-made the serial number sticker in Illustrator because I didn't like the way it looked.

same boat as matt (uphills) figure manual hubs will be a lot easier than trying to deal with all that other stuff. Been reading quite a bit of matt's thread and frenchtaco's thread. Some good stuff there.
