Good evening! Just got back from NAMM. In case you don’t know, it’s a convention for all things music related. Drums, cymbals, guitars, pianos, etc. and all the electronic doodads. We love to go look at all the new products the vendors have on display but geez it definitely brings out a unique group of people.

 

Wish I had some plants and shrubs there !!!

Good morning 50’s, cold and snow,blah blah blah. Coffee brewing, need motivation. Going into the big city today,Kalamazoo, grocery shopping, other errands. Not looking forward to the bumper cars mentality. Wife and I want something different and tasty for dinner tonite. This shall be an adventure.

Good morning friends. Wife caught the plague I had last weekend.

Sink drain at my parents house is open. Just as I figured, Mom stuffed a piece of old spoon roast into the garbage disposal and it needed a lot more water to flush it through. I asked "why not put it in the trash?" She said "because I didn't want a reminder of the costs that I just threw out by looking at it each time I put something in the garbage."

Daughter's truck needs to have the transfer case shift motor replaced. That just might be this afternoons project. Ford Ranger... Shift motor was 110.80 on Amazon. Dorman brand. Good enough. Why can't we just have shift levers on 4WD trucks???

Actually, I've been kicking around the idea of the FJ transfer case swap in my truck. I already have an extra 6spd TC input shaft and cover. Only need the FJ TC, FJ shift boot, and a DPDT switch.

 

Craig “Homertaco” did that swap and then added another case.

Craig lives close to me, he puts the truck in low, low, low and then you can get out walk around the truck while it’s idling up an incline. It has the low gearing of a tractor.
