I don't put much stock in such articles. What is important to me is reliability and cost to operate. One cannot determine those things by looking at new vehicles. The history of manufacturers and their vehicles is IMO the best way to judge new cars/trucks.

Looks 99.9% the same as a Colorado. A close friend had one. They are OK. Not my cup of tea. He had no real problems with it. He 'upgraded' to a Jeep.

I've seen a few, but it's nothing compared to the sea of Tacomas, Colorados, and Frontiers I see on a daily basis.

"Car & Driver" - these guys dont judge vehicles based on "truck" merits. The Ridgeline excels in car-like handling, power, etc., but in a lifted form. This is what the general populace wants right now, just look at how popular crossovers are, which are nothing more than higher-sitting sedans. The Ridgeline is not much more, except that it has a higher payload and towing capacity than most CUVs.

C&D rate it as a "best in class" because it fits exactly what the public wants. Something that handles and rides like a car but has capabilities a smidge beyond the CUVs that are flooding the market right now.

Car and driver has had a hardon for the Ridgeline and and a hate boner for the Tacoma since forever.

C&D is freakin crazy, the general populace does not want what the Ridgeline offers, one simple has to look at the sales figures.
