i would have voted the seats are so bad i sold the truck, but i decided to take care of it and do a mod.

local upholstery shop, for $200 they carve bottom foam from underneath to create a bucket, and like magic driver seat went from the worst seat i own to the best. i can spend hours in it now. before i had 90 minutes max.

For me, it’s not the padding or shape of the seat. Two things would help imo. First, should have power seat adjustment option to dial in the angle of the seat back. I’m in between manual options. Second, there needs to be more telescoping in the steering wheel. I think these things would make the seat and driving position much better.

5'10" 175 and like others here I felt like I was sliding forward in my leather seat as if the seat portion was angled downward towards the floor. I made some 1" spacers for the front two hold down bolts and the angle is now perfect for keeping my butt planted and not feeling like it wants to slide forward all the time.

Definitely! Man, telescoping and powered seats would make all the difference!

I really don't believe power seats are needed, just more adjustability would make a big difference.

I agree. Though I think that to make power adjustable seats is likely cheaper these days than developing the manual adjustment mechanisms. Especially for height and seat bottom angle adjustments.

Same will manual roll-down windows. They actually cost more to make than the powered versions.

Aside: One of my old work vehicles was a 2nd-Hand Ford Aerostar that was once a police vehicle. It had Recarro seats for whatever reason (police spec?). Anyways........those seats were so comfortable, and had almost no adjustment. It was like Recarro just got it sorted and made a great seat without you needing to customize it. I miss those seats to this day, but not that awful Ford Aerostar! What a POS!!

I voted adequate, I have no complaints with the leather seats in my '18 sport. I also had no problem with the cloth seats in my '15 sport.

In fact, with the lumbar set where I like it and the heat (my first vehicle with heated seats!) it's the best place for me to sit except for my La-Z-Boy an home when my back is bothering me.

A friend of mine had them in an early 80's (I think) Mustang with a turbo 4 and the TRX wheels, they felt great, but then pretty much every seat felt fine for me in the late 80's.

I remember those Metric TRX Wheels, glad the industry never went that way, I can't imagine trying to find tires for those today.

There are some basic body excercises that can be done to alleviate back pain. The seats probably have little to do with this. I have this as well sometimes. I do these and it greatly helps no matter what seat I am in.

sortof stock. 6112/5160, pro wheels and a tune.
im all too familiar with those. most people have back issues and dont even realize it. My case- hips are out of wack from being rough on body when i was younger, same with my spine. What i notice about the taco seat as opposed to larger seats- if you have an issue, its becomes apparent faster. (not always a bad thing)

I bought a "Big Skinny" wallet a few years back and carry it in my front pocket. It really helped with lower back issues.

This describes exactly how I feel. I've got the 3rd gen cloth seats and they totally suck. Also I find that I'm either to close "visually" too the windshield and rearview mirror so much so that it blocks a great deal of front view or I lean too far back to be comfortable over the wheel and have a better view point this causing further back pain as well. I'm 26 and fit and have a strange desire for my 1997 gmc sierra comfort but this is just wretched in comparison.. my thought are replace entirely with corbeau

The seats work, but then again, I don’t drive more than 30 min. Not sure I could deal with them on a long distance drive to be honest. They are pretty bad
