I still enjoy D2, Black armory has some cool weapons. If you're on ps4 I can help you out.

We will see! Hope you are right though as I hate seeing folks get their hopes up in the game world these days.

It's sad because I played Destiny religiously so when Forsaken came out it was damn near perfect. So leveling up through Forsaken and playing all the content there was to play was just plain fun. And there was a lot of content. I can see why you would never want to play through Forsaken knowing what you know now. They threw it all away so it would just be a grind (albeit a fun grind) through Forsaken just to get to TBA which sucks so much donkey dick that Bungie should be charged with beastality lol.

I'm not getting hyped for Anthem. I hope it's good and from the looks of things, at the very least Bioware has been extremely transparent. We all know EA's reputation for fucking shit up. But after the Battlefront debacle I hope they learned their lesson. I haven't heard one word from EA about Anthem. All the information that has been released has been from Bioware. And that information has been released by the Bioware that made the original Mass Effect games (not Andromada) and those were great games. So there is hope. I preordered it but if it sucks then I'll just chalk it up to another bad investment on my part in putting my trust where I shouldn't have. I still have Warframe to fall back on.

Like I've mentioned before. Warframe isn't for everyone. It is a hard game. But it is an unbelievably good game once you wrap your head around all the different systems at play inside the game. One thing that I can say about the game is it has one of the most friendly / helpful player bases in a game that I've ever seen. I've played a lot of MMO's in my time but I've never played a game where everyone is so extremely helpful. I spend a lot of time in Trade Chat trading items for Platinum (the actual in game currency that translates to real world money). I tried selling off the parts of a Warframe that I had already crafted but decided that I didn't want to use but was unable to make the trade with another player. So I asked in Trade Chat "Sorry if this is a dumb question but you can only sell items that haven't been crafted yet (IE: Blueprints for that item) and not the actual items themselves correct?". I got about 10 responses and each one told me "correct" and most everyone said... "don't worry bro, we've all been there. Not a dumb question at all". Not one person said "do your research" or some shit like that.
The core mechanics of the game are amazing and the Warframes themselves all play differently. But... you have to WANT to play this game to get the full enjoyment out of it. And you have to do a lot of outside research to figure out what the fuck you're supposed to be doing. Luckily, the player base is so good that there are guides for essentially everything in the game.

As far as your concern about Anthem goes. I completely understand. I'm hopeful that it's going to be a good game but I'm not delusional enough to think that EA might fuck it up.

That's what all of these games are? That is the very essence of a looter / shooter, any MMO, The Division, Warframe, or Diablo type of game. You grind for better shit. I don't understand your point? Where there is loot to get you will have to grind to get it. There will be casual players that pick the game up just to shoot shit in the face and there will be players like me that learn every single idiosyncrasy of the game so I can get the most out of it.

Really? Hammerhead is a good Machine Gun but even with god roll perks won't replace the Thunderlord. Blast Furnace with a god roll won't replace a god roll Bygones / Redrix. The exotic bow sucks balls. And just the thought of grind the forges makes me want to throw the PS4 out the window lol.

Same. I have hope for the game but I'm going into it with trepidation. Like I've said before... My hope is based on Bioware being as transparent about the game as they have been. Time will tell if it turns out to be a good game. The last game I got hyped for was The Division. When I saw that first trailer I was hooked. I waited three years for that game to come out and it turned out to be shit IMO. So I don't get hyped about games anymore. I just hope they fulfill what they promise.

Try out God of War if you haven't already. It was / is an amazing game.

And come to think of it, I lied when I said that I don't get hyped about games anymore. I am HYPED about The Last of Us II. After I finished The Last of Us I hoped that Naughty Dog would never make a sequel to that game because it ended so perfectly. It didn't allow you a choice of how it ended which I really liked and left you wondering "what would I have done?". But when they announced the sequel and I saw the developers of Naughty Dog talking about how much they debated over making a sequel to the game I understand what they are trying to do. Naughty Dog has some of the best storytellers of any game developer in existence. The original Last of Us is one of my all time favorite games. It's the only game that has actually brought out true emotion while I played it. So I have no doubt that the next one is going to be great.

The new God of War is nothing like the older versions. It is an epic game if you find the time to play it. It's a great single player game and I don't play single player games and even I enjoyed it immensely.

    Yeah.
I've played all of them and have to agree with this. It's less of a button-masher, making the combat more engaging. That said, not much replay value once you get through everything. But, I enjoy adventure games, whether they are somewhat linear like God of War and Tomb Raider, or more open world like Far Cry and Assassin's Creed. That's what I liked about Destiny -- it was a good shooter with adventure elements in the story, strikes, adventures and raids. That is the content I care about, not a new PvP map or horde mode. No real adventure in jumping into an arena and fighting wave after wave of enemy, turns into a snoozefest. And I WILL fall asleep. And snore in your ear.

I'm not gonna risk preordering anything besides resident evil 2 that I just picked up cause I was late to the party on Friday. Hopefully it continues to do well.

When D was releasing the alpha, my buddy had an invite to be one of the guys to play it. He said that they had all these areas available that we later learned were all the stuff from the first season pass for D. When the official beta came out, most of these spots were not reachable anymore and half of the planets were gone. I remember at the time he was like...well maybe they wanted to focus on certain areas for data in the beta. Turns on bungie had all that stuff the whole time...just wanted to bill folks instead of releasing a more in depth game at launch.

I know anthem isn't D and pray it wont ever turn into it, but because of the D experience I will be skeptic until the end game starts to get reached in anthem. If that looks legit at that point, then I could see joining in on the fun. That said, I really hope Anthem delivers.

Yeah... Open beta is next weekend

Anthem... when you can play is a fucking awesome game. But I'm afraid that it's going to get shit on because of all the issues that they are having right now. Yesterday took forever just to get in the game and then when you could finally get in the game it would lock up on the mission screen. So for about 3 hours you couldn't do anything. After a few hours you could play the mission and it was a really cool mission. Then it opened up into freeplay or you could do the stronghold. We've done nothing but the stronghold. I think we've ran it about 15 times right now and when there are no issues with the servers it takes about an hour to finish. It is an awesome fight with many encounters and the boss fight is amazing.

All of that said... Anthem is going to get shit on so bad after this VIP beta. We ran the stronghold about an hour ago and it was perfect. Got all our new weapons and then we went back in and there was so much lag that you couldn't even play. From what I understand is this is a beta that was made six months ago and I can't believe that the released it in this state. Right now it is unplayable. So only the people that have preordered the game are in. What's going to happen next weekend when everyone can play the game? It's going to crash the servers if they can't even keep up with the people trying to play now.

I love the game when you can play it and I'm sure they will get it fixed. It is an awesome game and the gameplay is a lot of fun. It's a pretty deep game with a lot of things to do. But after this beta... It's going to get the worst reviews ever. I've never played a alpha or beta that has had this many issues. I imagine that Bioware are shitting themselves right now. If the game is this unstable right now how are they going to fix it within the next month? I hate that it's going to get shit on because it's a great game but they have completely fucked this up.

I swear man you are the greatest god send for my gaming health...you live up to your name like a champ! I hope they can accept that the beta is only a beta. I bet they will try to give it a chance with a second review as folks want it to work down the road. I got some games on my PS4 so I get to live it up, but until then...vicarious mode is on!

Yea man I’m sure the gaming community will be patient. You have to remember just seeing honest and timely responses such as these did not happen with Bungie unless they were seriously provoked for a response. Just this transparency gives me pride to give them the time they need. Glad to see this level of understanding from their end out of he gate.
