    None yet, but soon...
Well, today I was going to change out my front left wheel hub assembly. I got a replacement part from Advanced Auto and all the details matched, BUT ONE SMALL THING. THE F'ING MOUNTING STUDS/BOLTS ARE TOO LONG. The bolts are too long by like a little over 1/4 inch. I knew something was wrong when I got the caliper, rotor, and the 35mm axle nut off in like 20 minutes. Long story short, I took it back. They didn't have a replacement nor did Auto Zone and Pep Boys. Looks like I'm headed to the dealership tomorrow.

The foam deteriorating must have been a one year (2012) thing. I checked mine a few months ago and it looked brand new. So I shelved the Uni filter thing for now. Besides, I'm under the Platinum warranty for another 4.5 years or 75k miles. No reason for me to worry about it for now.

Installed the hyper tech inline speedometer calibrator. Super simple and now I’m almost dead on with GPS speed. Only a 20 minute job start to finish. I left the usb cable attached and fished it down to the little drawer to the left of the steering wheel.

I repurposed my AC jump seats. I wanted a strong dog platform but didn't want legs restricting floor space & access.

I started out by gutting the entire 2nd row. Then i stripped the seats down to the frame and used them for the base. Its pretty sturdy and can support my little dogs.

Best part is that it can fold up and the seatbelts could still be used in a pinch if i needed to give someone a ride.

Now if I can just figure out jow to ger them out of the front seats...

Scooter, I was going to text you, but my wife wanted to do some quick shopping while the truck was in the shop. So, I was in there for maybe 5 minutes then out. I came back an hour and half later and the truck was just getting in the air. Too late after that, plus I wasn't in the best mood. The Service Manager called me today, and I explained that they need to fix this shit. He agreed and is going to set me up with someone who can let me know if the place is busy before I come in. Seems like their call center is too stupid to schedule things. We'll see.

OK, now to something that seems to be a question. Yes, I can do my own oil changes. I've done a lot of them in my 53 years. Changed the oil on all sorts of vehicles. Been scorched by so much oil that I can grab a hot dog out of boiling water and not be burned. Rotated my tires last week cause I wanted to clean them. Was reminded that truck tires are friggin heavy and I'm not benching 225 anymore. So, I may not be doing that so often. I don't want to get into bragging, but I make 55 an hour so why not let someone younger change my oil? I'll do the stuff I like, but I'm done with oil changes. I just need my local Toyota dealer to streamline their system a bit. If I can do it for billion dollar companies, I can do it for a dealership.

It's a 4,900 pound truck, plus the tow dolly, so I didn't expect much - our slow point was about 50mph, kept it 60 and under otherwise, since there didn't seem to be a connector for the electric brake controller to do it's thing ;)

The same shit everyone else has.
Replaced the left side LCA and alignment cams. I was able to salvage the bolt/rear cam on the front bushing and rear cam/nut on the rear bushing. Cleaned em up instead of replacing em.

I expected this to be a giant pain in the dick. It wasn’t as bad as people made it out to be though. Cutting out the old shit out went surprisingly well.

    upload_2019-1-27_23-19-23.jpg

Yes, there’s a jack stand under the frame rail out of the picture.

Waiting on the right side to show up since they sent me 2 lefts Then I can install it and redo the alignment to make room for the 285s.
