So with ice setting up late in a lot of people and in regards to the super bowl, would it work best to do it a couple weeks into February?

I'll be out st Otter lake in Greenfield, NH today. Swing by if you wanna rip some holes !

I personally don't care about the Superbowl but I will be on vacation from Feb 11 through the 20... Florida and then South America. There will be more ice fishing trips in the future if I can't go to this one.

Better than my day at Newfound... one big old rainbow lost right at the hole for the day. Just got a look at it before it came unhooked. Was fishing hard for about 8 hours. Nice to finally be fishing with the snowmobile though instead of walking!

If it's February I may be out. That is snowmobiling month for me. Almost every weekend is a sled trip but I'll keep an eye on this thread just in case.

For real, I'm setting the date and location this Friday . Sorry for the wait everyone. A lot of ice just has not been safe. And while I have decades on ice, I don't assume that of anyone else and wanted to ensure any trip to be safe as possible.

As of right now I'm considering a few bass ponds. I'd rather have people catching bass and perch than spending all day with 2 traps strikin out on Lakers. Location will most likely be in the are of Nashua NH, to Keene NH, and close-ish to main routes for easy traveling.

With that being said, there's a pond a few towns over and I'm hoping its on par with most seasons. Ive kept in on the DL just because I didnt want to talk it up too much. But there's plenty of parking ,normally produced close to double digits bass in one day, and I have personally pulled out +5lbs fish out of there. I'll be checking the ice Friday morning for a safe thickness. If everything is a go I'll probably be tossing a few traps in and we will go from there.

TL:DR . Friday will be when a date is set.

I'm rooting for Keene NH since it's only 2.4 hrs from my house. :anonymous:
