Yeah I just bought some spidertrax for the front , going to put them on tomorrow and get alignment on Sunday .

Debating if I should just buy two new tires and keep these as spares.
Couple people said that it’s fine to roll on these , since no metal are showing.

Maybe they can swing something with some partial warranty credit or something.

So many people have answered this question yet others still think they cane get by, you and your family should be thankful that you are not dead or killed somebody else had this tire given out at the wrong time.

The side wall on tires usually dont have metal cords. I would just buy two new tires. Yours or someone else's life is not worth risking for 400 bucks.

Good to know. I plan on making that jump from 285's once they need replacing.

Installed spindles, icon uca and 6112 yesterday. Destroyed the stock brakelines nuts. Tackling that repair and the leaves today

Hey anyone that's done dakars, do you need a spacer for the drive shaft or anything?

I didnt have a spacer just dakars and shims to adjust pinion angles. But every truck is different and some run a spacer and some use a cb drop

I don't run a driveshaft spacer although I could probably use a .75" one with the dakars and half inch shim on each side.

I do run the OME carrier bearing drop

What kind of shims and where could I get them

How would I know what to get? I'm using the dakars and I believe it has an AAL. Have 5160 rear shocks as well, and a ubolt flip with the super bumps.

It all depends angles of your trans output shaft and your pinion angle. You goal is for them to be in a parallel line. Rule of thumb is 1 degree for every inch of lift but it doesnt always work out that way. It all depends on how much lift the dakars will provide per your truck. So best thing to do is install leafs then messure your angles and that will tell you what size shims you'll need. @Wheeler's Off-Road Inc and @HeadStrong Off-Road are both very good options for shims and everything else
