2017 Sport access cab. Seat covers with heater kits and I'm done. Truck will stay as it is. Traded my 06 Tacoma for this one and it was stone stock since day one. Of course with the frame and other recalls it was still a new truck when traded.

I added a Pro grille (because I did not like the chrome 16 grille), a bed mat and dashcam. Other than that it is completely stock. Tacoma is a great truck from the factory. There is truth in the saying, "do whatever floats your boat".

You make a good point. We can open a new discussion on if you do mod, do you do something to your Tacoma or buy new parts.

I’ll do mild mods like tires and skids but hold off on big stuff til the truck is paid off, but that’s just me.

It's a topic that's been covered well in depth here. Lots of threads on it already.

I ran steel wheels on my '05 for 11 years. They did rust and look a bit shitty but it was just a DD truck that I used like a truck. You may feel differently in time.

No plans to modify suspension, wheels, tires etc. Truck looks stock and I like it that way. A few minor mods inside the cab like LED lights, better radio knobs, coin bucket, Scangauge plus a few more, mostly cosmetic.

    Stock and staying that way
Unless floormats count my truck is stock and staying that way. I am quite satisfied with it as is.

I learned long ago that mods are a money put. I have a 2001 Trans Am in the garage that I bought brand new, and have spent more on mods than I did for the car. Never again.

I've had mine going on 12 years and 194,000 miles. I ordered the cap for it the day I bought it and put it on a few weeks later. I went with 265/75/16 tires over 265/70/16's about 4 years ago. That is it.

When you start modifying it becomes a domino effect. One mod leads to another and those lead to prematurely worn out factory parts and quite often worse performance instead of better. I do a fair amount of off road driving and the 265/75's are as big as I can go without modifying anything. To go to a bigger tire would cost $3-$4k if done right and only net me 3/4" to 1" more ground clearance and cost me a lot more in fuel. Realistically 1 more inch of ground clearance just isn't going to matter and I don't want to sacrifice towing or payload capability.

I have something else to play with.. Taco is staying stock (drive-train and suspension) minus a few small things, like bed lights and some other dumb stuff.

For me, tires and sliders all my OR needed. It didnt take long for me to rip off one of the steps on the predator step tubes that came from the dealer.

Nice, I have a Husqvarna GT riding mower, twin cylinder, fuel injected, modded the throttle, added a K&N filter, better tires, & some chrome valve caps. It will do burnouts if I want it too.

My Tacoma was only stock for 300 miles, then I lifted it. Here it is as of today.
