So the sides of the bed have the tracks to slide the cleats back and forth. The front of the bed no longer has the track?

I’ve tried to find the part number and it says it’s not a serviceable part? And no part number.

Can anyone confirm. I have a 17 Limited. The holes seem to be there? My bothers 14 Limited has one. Were people getting stupid and they removed them to keep stupid down to a roar?

Can anyone provide a part number if they have the means to look it up? I have the end caps and screws/bolts numbers.

    Thx

Any 2nd gen front rail will work. I ordered mine through Toyota but I don't recall the part #

Some one may correct me but I had a 2016 sr5 and now have a 2017 sport, neither had the front rail. You may have to order one from a second gen and see if it can be installed

When Amazon says that much of a delivery time it’s usually discontinued. I’ll use the part number and see what happens. I tried the 14’s like my brother has and it says the same message as the 17’s.

I’ll look at my brothers setup and see if it’s a match.

Thanks all for the fast replies.

Just use the part number and get it from the dealer that's what I did.

Hell you can probably just go and ask them to look up the front bed rail on a 2nd Gen and order

Just find a 2nd gen in a parking lot that looks like he is not using his rail....(I never used to one on my 2006)... Only takes about 2 min. to remove it.... Don't ask how I know..!!

Drop a case of beer in his box with a "thank U" note on it and go home....hehe

Do not tell a dealer parts jockey it's for a 3rd gen. You'll confuse them, because it's not in the book.

Use the PN and tell them its for a 2nd gen. Take it home and bolt it on.

Or find one at a local junk yard.

No, people weren't getting stupid(er). Toyota just wanted another $10 / unit margin on their already overpriced truck.

The real truth is that probably 80% of the buyers don't even know it's 'missing', nor would they actually ever use it if it were there.

Be aware that the third gen tracks are deeper than the second gen, not by allot but some applications it's relevant.

Yup, just got mine in from Amazon, screwed on with no modification and works fine. Not sure how/why they would eliminate these seeing as I was able to mount it right below the tonneau bar. Oh well

I took that off my old 2015 before I traded it in and installed it on my 2017.

There should be no reason that it shouldn't. The only bed change for the 2019s that has been discussed is the deleted left side cubby.

I plunked one of these rails on my 2017. Handy little mofo.
