Road trip to Texas begins tomorrow! Looks like good weather for hunting and according to the guy that keeps tabs on my land the pigs are running like crazy.

Camping this weekend, buddy said he had a smoker and I told him no need to run his truck battery dead or burn gas! Crispy pork belly! Looks like this thing pulls 3.1a on startup and about 0.3-0.5a to run the fan and auger. I rescued a Woolly Worm the fire, I guess we were using his home as fire wood.. Low of 10* plus wind chill and high below freezing most of the weekend.

Holly shelter range has cleaned house. I’ve been there twice in the last week and it’s being ran like a range should be. ROs are on point now!

Yea, technically. Reason I say that is they don’t make the Ranch in 308. I have the American Ranch in 300blk (16” barrel) and American Predator in 308 (18” barrel)

Both great guns and both cheap as it gets. Bolts are a little tight but from what I read they loosen up over time. 300blk is worse by a long shot but there’s some easy fixes online I may pursue if it doesn’t “break in” properly over time

Yea they are nearly identical

 

The bolts do loosen up a little over time. I have the American Predator in 6.5 Creedmoor and love it, especially since I got it for under $300 new. I kept the bolt well greased with Frog Lube paste and it seemed to help with break in.

 

I’m not familiar with that but I’ll look into it! Thanks!

 

Frog lube is the shit once you get a couple coats of it on

Yeah I use it on all of mine. Took me a minute to get past the mint smell at first though haha.
