I found a low mile 09' 4cyl, reg cab Prerunner for sale.

Do they have the same springs, shocks and ground clearance as the 4wheeler model?

    YES

However - If you find a set OEM double cab springs and put them on your regular cab, you'll probably see 1" lift. Atleast, that was the 'rule of thumb' on the 1st gen trucks.

4x4's and prerunner are the same minus prerunners not having the 4wd part.

9" 5% front window strip, tailgate light bar, pulled off TRD stickers, removed mud flaps, blacked out tail lights very soon. There's a lot more coming, this is just the beginning.
    I went from a prerunner to a 4x4 and they're the same. :)

    - Billstein 5100's all around with OME 885 coil springs. - K&N Air Filter - HID Headlights & Fogs - Kenwood Stereo & Infinity Speakers - CB Radio, - Fog On Anytime mod - Anti Tailgate theft mod. More comming...
I believe everybody is correct but when you start comparing TRD Sport vs TRD Off-road, then the shock valving & spring type are different.

The flip flop was an excellent choice then.

SHocks are the same, but the springs are different. And the Sport has a larger sway bar.

OK, I know it's an old thread but I'm bumping rather than starting a new one. I feel like my DCSB 4x4 OR is way closer to the ground than the prerunners I see around town. It's definitely much lower than the 1st gens (my coworker has one and parks next to me). What's the deal here? You'd think this thing would have gotten higher clearance than a sport prerunner, but that's certainly not the case...kind of annoying...

Maybe the 4X4 gear weighs it down or something, who knows, but I wouldn't think it would be that noticeable.

    Solution: LIFT THAT BITCH!

I know this is a older post. Sorry to the OP.

    I have a 06 pre-runner trd sport. Just a little over 100K.
If I replace the fronts with 2011 trd off road spring and shock, What effects or changes would I get?

What is the difference between the springs.
    Change in height?
    Change in ride.

Am I better off reusing the sport springs?

    This is a daily driver.

    Thanks
