You know why it lasted? She didn't "F" with it. No lifts, no cold air intakes, no additives or carburetor spacers (you where not going to catch me saying throttle body), no tires that rubbed. I bet her headlights never even came close to an oven. Bet you it's the original grille and she probably never even hung an air freshener.

Goes to show you, Just drive the freakin' thing!

i agree but they dont make stuff like they used to.they dont want cars to last that long.they have to keep the economy going.

 

I agree. BUT...I didn't buy my truck to last 500K. I bought my truck to use it; haul stuff, go places, get out in the snow. I don't expect it to last 500K, but if it does that's great.

Truth. It sounds cliche or whatever but it's true. I work with home appliances, and people come in needin to replace something they've had for 30-40 years. You're not gonna get that out of a new appliance. It's just the way things are now.

 

Yup, you're right. Things are actually engineered nowadays to break down after a certain period of time. Why? So we can spend more moneys
