So, if I buy Ovtune now is it sent with 1.05? it says on website it is sent with 1.04.
Can I do this with my surface pro 4? I don't have a laptop
Is it possible it will improve MPG while towing? not to concerned with MPG but a few more miles per tank could have helped with my trip in Texas recently when I hit some headwinds and was getting about 4MPG and just watching the the gas gauge drop really fast.

When towing I'm typically between 12-15 mpg with the tune. There's obviously a lot of variables but overall when towing I'm up 2-5 mpg over not being tuned and the truck tows much better.

I did the TSB (04b13) so I was back to an OEM tune for a while and missed the tune immediately when towing.

Thanks. What tune are you running? I understand it can be for different octanes on gas? I usually average about 12 mpg @60 and around 10 if I drive a little faster.

I've run the 87 tunes with 87 or 91 fuel depending on what is available. Most of my towing is on 1.04a, I haven't done any with 1.05 yet.

I was typically running 65 and averaging 12-14 with about 3500 lbs of a camper trailer thing. My 7x14 cargo trailer I've been around 12 at 65-70 - I get a lot of drag due to the height.

Thank you for everyone who has offered to test. We have plenty of inquiries now so we do not need more.
At this time we are looking exclusively for heavy trucks so if you do not meet the requirements you may not get a test file.

    thanks.
