What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

My 7 year old Kenwood DNX570 died. Replaced with a Pioneer 2400nex. I added in the SiriusXM tuner while I was at it.

 

do these work with the steering wheel controls generally?

 

There's an extra adapter that's needed to make the controls work but, yes, the controls can be made to work.

 

Yes, You do have to buy the adapter for the the steering wheel controls. I bought it for the Kenwood 7 years ago. I just used the same adapter for the Pioneer. Best I remember it was like $15-$20.

 

do you loose all the oem functions? like steering wheel controls and back up cam?

 

Nope. You just buy the steering wheel adapter for the controls. And the backup camera is in the rear view mirror.

Well that would require me to develop a relationship with the store. I've lived by this store for 7 years and the only reason I go there is to drop off used oil. In containers that were clearly not purchased there. haha
I just find my stuff online cheaper. And Meijer is always cheaper on Oil than auto parts stores. I am so stingy that its annoying to some people.

Got tech deck from bird dawg. And the big squeeze form hondo garage. Love it so far. Lost a piece on the big squeeze and hondo garage helped out super quick. Awesome customer service.

Look around for people looking for waste oil for waste oil heaters. Craigslist usually has a few people looking for used motor oil. Generally, they will come to you for the oil too. And some will even pay.
