    I have mods
These are my Dakars, no AAL. I can see why @eon_blue was wondering since they do look different from mine. Missing a main leaf and an overload when compared to mine. Like he said, maybe they are the shorter ones?

Probably worth it but I don't need it. Rarely am I in deep water or dusty roads. I could put the money to other more useful things right now. One day I will decide to pick one up I'm sure. I'm also sure I will look back and be like "well why tf didn't I buy it when it was $XX cheaper" :notsure:

I’m in the same boat. Don’t drive my truck much since I drive a company vehicle and never have time to go off road due to working tons of hrs. I have absolutely no need of one ..... but I bought one when they came back in stock a few weeks ago :anonymous: still haven’t installed it tho lol

I kept adding it to my cart when it was first up for $100 and kept telling myself I didn’t need it. Came back in stock for $130 and bought it then, so my procrastination cost me an extra $30 :annoyed:

Yeah I work a lot and then this final semester of school is kicking my ass and we are 3 weeks in... Can't wait to be done with school so when I go home at the end of the day I don't have to worry about homework. I likely won't pick one up for another year if not 2 or 3. I know it'll cost me quite a bit more money to wait but I'll be salaried then.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

That listing is a bit wrong. The only Spicer part # that is listed for our trucks is a 5-1510X which is a greasable inner clip U-joint.

Another thing wrong with the picture is that shows an outer clip greasable body. The 5-1510X (again is an inner clip) that greases through one of the caps.

    But the "1510" is not a sealed (non-greasable) U-joint.

My bad i shouldn't have put the picture up, I said they make them and make them for our trucks.
I didnt say I was going to hunt the part number down for you, As far as if the zerk is in the cap or the crotch of the joint clearance is what determines that man.

Hopefully you didn't misunderstand me. I wasn't expecting you to hunt down a part number for me. And I wasn't saying you were wrong, was saying the listing was wrong.

I just wanted to point that out in case someone saw that and decided to order a "1510" because the listing says it's sealed. The listing is wrong. The Spicer "1510" is not a sealed bearing. And the U-joints in the picture is not a "1510" U-joint.

Installed some fog lights and went through some deep river crossings, used the winch quite a few times, buddy bent a tie-rod (2nd gen) and saw some cool water falls. Pretty jam packed weekend

Actually... Now I am challenging someone - anyone to find me the part number for a sealed U-joint for an 01-04 Tacoma application. People have mentioned sealed is what they would use. I've seen people claim they exist. I've asked if anyone had a part number for them and no one ever responded.

I'll throw it out there, that I don't think they exist. Or at least none are listed for this application.

Matsuba - everywhere I look is Zerk - examples =
    http://www.lowrangeoffroad.com/toyota-matsuba-matsui-u-joints-universal-joint.html
    https://www.yotamasters.com/shop/driveshaft/matsuba-u-joints/

I know for a fact that Spicer only lists a zerk U-joint for our application.

The only way I could see getting a sealed U-joint is to go off of actual dimensions and cross reference a part number. (I've been looking for a sealed set of U-joints off and on for a couple months and have not found anything listed anywhere)
Has anyone actually done a sealed U-joint and has a part number?

Dont recommend sealed u joints, some argue strength being lossed from either the cross section or one of the caps being drilled and tapped for the grease fitting. The ability to grease often especially under muddy, dusty, water conditions is a huge benefit.

I got that too, I need to address it. I was thinking just taking some steel wool to it, clean the rust off, then get a paint match pen or something to cover up.

It’s literally the only rust in my truck haha I might stop by a body shop one day and see what they.

But I can already hear it “repaint all the things”
