Sign me up, I'm down! So let me guess we'll have a stretch of highway near Richmond sponsored by Northern Virginia Roll Call.

hahaha thats a good point. I think we get to pick from a list of identified "problem" areas. They take suggestions of roadways that need it and then they send an engineer to make sure it's "safe" for a crew of standard civilians to clean it.

oh thats pretty cool. a safe road sounds better to do this, but based on how people drive around here it feels like we're living in a russian dashcam compilation.

Yeah, it's only an 8k and got used a lot yesterday. By the end it wouldn't free spool, was slipping, and sounded like it was gonna crap out.

quick question for anyone, if you were going to throw sand bags in the back of your truck for weight in bad weather how many or how much weight would you say is helpful?

Honestly, any extra weight helps. But really to effective, I'd say no less than 300lbs.

Edit: speaking from experience of driving a 2WD Nissan D21

Being from Maine we would put sand tubes in the bed of our trucks. They fit great in the groves. Normally 200-250lbs. Right over the wheel wells. Ice your screwed. Doesn’t matter what you have or how good you can drive. With snow only thing you need to remember is keep your RPM’s low. I had my rear trailer come around on me one year coming down the hill to the WW bridge. I mashed the fuel peddle enough to straighten it out and parked it. Told them to come get me. Lol.

Damn right. Our luck some mall crawler would be drooling and end up hitting one of our trucks.
