I have for sale Rear Front Camera Controller from car Solutions. Plug and play installation.You don't need extra buttons to control cameras, operates from steering wheel "MODE" button (Double click activates front camera, with arrows "UP" and "DOWN" you can switch between front & rear views. Front cam. automatically activates for 30 sec. when start moving and deactivates when you reach speed 30 mil/h or you can deactivate one click "MODE" button.) Easy to install, all OEM functions remain unchanged. Will send you extra wire to connect front camera with the module.

So you'll include wiring for a front camera hookup but your item does not include a front camera correct?

 

I can send you my front camera free (not the best quality).

 

Same question as above - this have everything needed to control both front and rear camera and all hookups just not the front camera?

You do not have to do anything with OEM rear camera. Just power for Front cam. from module and i will send that wire.

I purchased this from OP. I'll chime in when I get and install it.

 

Just did the install on this and it's legit. Love the fact that this uses the mode button on the steering wheel. No extra buttons or having to reach far for it. PnP...only thing needed to be done was run the wiring for the front camera, pwr & gnd it and done. Double press the mode to get in and out of the camera mode, up and down arrow (seek/rew) to switch between cameras. I'm not entirely sure on this but since this does not touch the factory camera in any way, leaves the door open to utilizing the rear came input to get you 3 POV. I might buy a cheap camera to see as having a camera when the tailgate id down would be awesome!

Can you activate the cameras while in motion?

My use case is trying to park face in and wanting to turn it on while parking.

 

Yes, 2 ways. You can do it manually anytime or have it set to auto and at less than 1 mph it will turn on for you.

 

Can you still fast forward and rewind like normal? Does this system mess with GPS at all/anyone in a 3rd Gen running this setup?

 

No it doesn't interfere with GPS or any other OEM functions.
