Key blade blank

Hi all, I have an 18 Tacoma with push to start and I would like to have a dedicated key for my glove box and tailgate, instead of having to continue to take it out of the fob. I would like it to be in the shape of a standard key(for better leverage/build), and not the ones with the little offset housing. I’ve looked on eBay and Amazon and haven’t had much luck. If someone has done this or knows how to do it I would appreciate any insight. Thank you.

 

I got one with my 2018. Two fobs with small key inside and one regular style key for tailgate. See if your dealer has yours laying around if you bought the truck new.

 

When I bought my 18 the sales manager gave me two fobs and a physical old school key specifically for the glove box/tailgate. You should’ve received an old school key at purchase.

 

I bought the truck used so that might be my problem, but this is good to know I’ll call my dealer and see if they can make me one, thanks for the info!

 

Did you look in the center console? Some people stored the key in there, specifically the pen holder in the lid.

 

Just checked, no luck but now I know there’s a pen holder lol

 

Look in the glovebox and see if you have the plastic caps to use if you ever remove your tailgate. The key may be buried in the glove box somewhere too.

 

I’ll check it out and let you know. Called the dealer and asked about a dedicated key, they said I was misinformed‍

 

I have a 2018 Sport.

 

I just bought a 2017 today and the dealer gave me 2 fobs and a regularish key.

 

Get your dealer to order 69515-0K130 & have it cut?

I also have an 18 PRO. Mine came with 2 fobs and the old style key. On one of the fobs is also a little silver tag that has the number for key cutting.

 

Finally got ahold of someone who knows they’re stuff at the dealer and they’re making me a copy. Thanks guys
